Stable microcapsule compositions

Disclosed are stable microcapsule compositions each containing a microcapsule dispersed in an aqueous phase and a stabilizing agent. The microcapsule compositions are stable for at least 4 weeks when storing at 45° C., and the microcapsule composition is considered stable when (i) the composition has a viscosity of 3000 cP or less and (ii) 20% or less water by volume of the composition is separated from the composition. Also disclosed are consumer products having such a stable microcapsule composition.

A hair care composition is disclosed comprising a polyhydroxy fatty acid amide surfactant of general formula (I): wherein R.sup.1 is a C.sub.1-C.sub.4alkyl groups or hydroxy-substituted C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl groups; R.sup.2CO is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated C.sub.3-C.sub.10 acyl group, preferably C.sub.8-C.sub.10 acyl group, an ethoxylated alkyl sulfate anionic surfactant having a formula R.sup.3O(CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O)nSO.sub.3M, wherein R.sup.3 is an alkyl or alkenyl having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms; M is a solubilising cation comprising sodium, potassium, ammonium, substituted ammonium or mixtures thereof; n is the degree of ethoxylation of from 0.5 to 3, and from 0.01 to 10% by weight of an anti-dandruff agent selected from piroctone olamine, azole based anti-fungal agents and mixtures thereof, wherein the weight ratio of the ethoxylated alkyl sulfate anionic surfactant to the polyhydroxy fatty acid amide surfactant ranges from 1:10 to 10:1.
