Multi-Functional Roping Sled for Header and Heeler Team Roping Practice
A heading and heeling roping practice sled apparatus comprising a heeling practice sled and a heading practice dummy, where the heeling sled comprises a single mainframe bar, a tow arm with an open-faced front tow hook as well as a closed or closeable ring for towing, a wheel assembly attached to the tow arm below the horns of the heading practice dummy, support legs configured to provide support for the mainframe and dummy, dummy mounting brackets attached to the support legs, securing straps and a quick release latch attached to the dummy mounting brackets, the dummy having a flanged base for securing the dummy to the sled within the dummy brackets, a roping leg apparatus attached to the rear of the mainframe, said roping leg apparatus comprising a hip assembly consisting of a coupling attached to which are non-linear axles, hinges positioned about the axles to which roping legs are mounted, the angles of the coupling, axles, and hinges having a collective configuration such that in the vertical position the legs are separated and when roped and pulled taught the legs come together and cross over by way of angular rotation and are retracted to the stationary position by a tension element or elements operating independently and along a single plane, whereby each leg may be roped and rotated without affecting the stationary position of the other leg. The coupling of the hip assembly is rotatable relative to the mainframe such that the axles—and thus the roping legs—can be positioned at a skewed angle relative to the mainframe. In another embodiment, the dummy comprises horn sockets that individually rotate in a non-coplanar manner allowing horns inserted into the sockets to overlap upon collapse, and thus be varied in length and relative orientation to one another.
Dynamic canine tracking method for hazardous and illicit substances
Vapor wake detection is a highly advantageous method and system for detecting explosives and other illicit substances. With vapor wake detection, a canine and a handler are used; however, unlike other detection schemes, the canine leads the handler. After the handler positions the canine in a desired location, the canine detects scents in the air that come to the canine. When the canine detects a trained scent, the canine leads the handler to or follows behind the carrier of the item with the scent. Once the carrier is identified by the handler, the proper personnel are contacted. To implement vapor wake detection effectively, specific rigorous training is utilized.

SAFETY GATE FOR PETS AND SMALL CHILDREN
A safety gate for preventing pets and small children from passing through an opening, the safety gate comprising: a collapsible frame for selective disposition in the opening, the collapsible frame comprising: a resizable base having a first end and a second end, the resizable base being configured so that the distance between the first end and the second end is adjustable; and first and second arms adjustably secured to the first and second ends of the resizable base, respectively, so as to be re-configurable between (i) a collapsed configuration wherein the first and second arms extend substantially parallel to one another and substantially parallel to the resizable base, and (ii) an expanded configuration wherein the first and second arms extend upright from the resizable base so that the collapsible frame comprises a substantially U-shaped configuration defining a space between the resizable base and the first and second arms; and a flexible barrier for adjustable mounting to the collapsible frame so as to prevent a pet or small child from passing through the space between the resizable base and the first and second arms.
CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENTS IN 6-STRAND SYNTHETIC TWISTED LARIAT ROPE
It refers to the invention of a 6-strand synthetic twisted lariat rope, a product used in Team Roping competitions. It is also used in cattle handling, when it is necessary to immobilize an animal, preserving its sanity and physical integrity, avoiding injuries, friction burns due to impact and/or traction. It is a dynamic, elastic, anti-static rope where the harmful effect of the impact of a sudden stop is practically nil, which follows all the requirements of the Federal Law 10.591/02. First and foremost, the animal welfare is taken into account in Team Roping competitions. The evolution of Team Roping competitions is under constant improvement in Brazil and in the world, to which the present invention brings several benefits.
Pet device
Disclosed is a pet device. The pet device can include a housing, a movable member, and a first porous element. The housing can include a back and a front connected to the back to define a cavity. The front can define a first opening. The moveable member can be located in between the back and front. The moveable member can include a tab and can define an element receptacle. The first porous element can be impregnated with a first fluid and sized to fit within the element receptacle. The movable member can be moveable between a first position where the element receptacle is located proximate the first opening and a second position where a majority of the moveable member, including the element receptacle, is located outside of the cavity.

DRONE FOR HERDING HERD ANIMALS
A system (30) for herding herd animals, the system comprising: a database (33) comprising executable instructions for each of a plurality of herding gestures that are executable by a drone to control movement of a herd of animals; and at least one drone (80) having a controller comprising a processor operable to execute the instructions to control the at least one drone to perform the gestures and autonomously control the herd.
Roping dummy with washout simulation and neck pivot action
A roping simulator (sometimes referred to as a roping or practice dummy or sled) is designed to mimic the natural movements and anatomy of roping cattle. Embodiments of the instant disclosure mimic the anatomy and movement of a roping cattle when the animal “washes out,” meaning that its back end slips and pivots during a turn. In various embodiments, the disclosed roping simulator also includes a feature whereby the head portion of the dummy rotates and pivots downward when a force is applied by a rope, simulating head movement of a live animal. In one embodiment, a sled assembly and a body assembly are connected to one another to form the roping simulator. The sled assembly is the component that makes contact with the ground. The body assembly is the component that provides roping targets, and that simulates the movement of live cattle.
Edible pet chew made from an edible malleable sheet
An edible pet chew has an initially malleable sheet of a hardened chewable material dimensioned large enough and thin enough to be initially malleable for flexing, folding or rolling into a final shape. The sheet is shaped into a final shape by flexing, folding or rolling and then hardened.
