An apparatus for forming and applying artificial fingernails is disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the apparatus includes a housing; a rotatable carousel disposed at least partially within the housing, the rotatable carousel including a plurality of fingernail molds that are configured to be rotated with the carousel, the plurality of fingernail molds configured to form a plurality of different fingernail shapes using an artificial fingernail molding material; a dispensing device disposed at least partially within the housing, the dispensing device configured to dispense the artificial fingernail molding material onto a fingertip portion of a user within a selected one of the plurality of fingernail molds; and a curing device, the curing device configured to cure the artificial fingernail molding material on the fingertip portion of the user so as to form an artificial fingernail having a particular shape.

A nail form for applying a nail coating includes a body having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface. The bottom surface has a first curvature forming a cavity in a shape of a natural nail. The body includes a first lateral side and a second lateral side. The top surface and the bottom surface extend between the first lateral side and the second lateral side. The nail form includes a first side member that extends outwardly from the top surface proximate the first lateral side and a second side member that outwardly from the top surface proximate the second lateral side.

The present invention provides systems, kits, and methods for applying artificial or false nails to an individual's fingernails or toenails. Advantageously, the invention does not require the use of strong solvents or that a user's own nail is abraded prior to using the invention. Because the invention uses magnetism to hold artificial nails in place, the invention uses little adhesive and does not require that the adhesive covers the majority or entirety of the natural nails. There are at least five embodiments of the reusable ornamental nails for fingers or toes having various forms of fitted channels, pins, tabs, threaded, or pressure connectors. At least two of the embodiments are adjustable in position when used on a fingernail or toenail. An advantage of the reusable ornamental nail for finger and toes system is that faux nails can be removed and reused repeatedly in like new condition. Additionally, an advantage of the present invention is the ability to adjust with the rate at which the wearers actual nail grows.
