The present invention provides systems, kits, and methods for applying artificial or false nails to an individual's fingernails or toenails. Advantageously, the invention does not require the use of strong solvents or that a user's own nail is abraded prior to using the invention. Because the invention uses magnetism to hold artificial nails in place, the invention uses little adhesive and does not require that the adhesive covers the majority or entirety of the natural nails. The invention allows an individual to easily and rapidly change nails without the need for an intervening manicure, application of nail polish, or the application of additional adhesives.
