SHEET MATERIAL DETECTING DEVICE, SHEET MATERIAL FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet material detecting device includes a leading end flag, a pair of middle size flags, a pair of large size flags which take stand-by positions and operating positions by contacting a sheet, respectively. Each of middle size flags changes from the stand-by position to the operating position linking with changing to the operating position of each of large size flags. A link is moved from a first position to a second position in a case that both of middle size flags take the operating positions and is restricted in movement to the second position in a case that both of middle size fags do not take the operating portions. A controller detects a width of the sheet base on a timing of the operating position of the leading end flag and a timing of movement of the link from the first position to the second position.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a circulating member that is a part of a transport path that transports a recording medium; a holding member that is fixed to the circulating member, circulates, and holds a leading end portion of the recording medium; an image forming section that forms an image on the recording medium at an image forming position in a circulation path of the circulating member; and a feeding section that feeds out the recording medium to a holding position where the holding member holds the leading end portion of the recording medium. When a circulation velocity Vg is defined as a velocity at which the circulating member circulates the holding member, a transport velocity of the recording medium is reduced from a first transport velocity V1, which is higher than the circulation velocity Vg, to a second transport velocity V2, which is lower than the first transport velocity V1, before the leading end portion of the recording medium enters the holding position.

A rotating device includes: an opening-closing portion supported so as to be openable and closable with respect to a support body; a drive unit provided on the support body; a first rotating body provided on the support body and rotated by a drive force of the drive unit; a driven portion provided in the opening-closing portion; a second rotating body provided in the opening-closing portion, rotated by a transmitted rotational force, and transmitting the rotational force to the driven portion; and an annular body formed in an annular shape, wound around the first rotating body and the second rotating body, maintaining the winding state in both an open state and a closed state of the opening-closing portion, and transmitting the rotational force of the first rotating body to the second rotating body.

An image forming apparatus includes: a forming part that forms an image on a recording medium; a fixing part that fixes the image formed on the recording medium; a revolving part having a revolving member stretched over multiple rotary members, the revolving member revolving between the forming part and the fixing part to transport the recording medium from the forming part to the fixing part; a feed part that feeds the recording medium to the forming part; a discharge part that discharges the recording medium to which the image has been fixed in the fixing part; a branch part that is provided so as to be split from the discharge part and along which the recording medium, to one side of which the image has been fixed, is transported to the feed part after switching the leading end and the trailing end of the recording medium; a first housing accommodating the forming part, the fixing part, and the revolving part; and a second housing connected to the first housing and accommodating the feed part, the discharge part, and the branch part.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an annular transfer belt to which an image is transferred; a transfer roller that transfers an image to a recording medium when the recording medium passes through a transfer area formed between the transfer roller and the transfer belt; a drive mechanism that causes the transfer roller to rotate; and a speed adjustment mechanism that adjusts a rotational speed of the transfer roller achieved by the drive mechanism in units of a cycle of the transfer roller, and switches between a first adjustment pattern and a second adjustment pattern to execute switched adjustment pattern in a cycle including a state in which the transfer roller transports the recording medium, the first adjustment pattern for adjusting the rotational speed of the transfer roller, the second adjustment pattern for adjusting the rotational speed of the transfer roller with a pattern different from the first adjustment pattern.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an apparatus body; an image forming unit that forms a toner image on a recording medium; a first transport part that transports the recording medium to the image forming unit along a feed path extending from one side toward the other side in the horizontal direction, the feed path being a path along which the recording medium transported by the first transport part passes, and that includes a portion extending toward the one side beyond the image forming unit; and a second transport part that transports the recording medium from the image forming unit to the outside of the apparatus body along a discharge path extending from the other side toward one side in the horizontal direction and that includes a portion extending toward the one side beyond the image forming unit, the discharge path and the feed path at least partially overlapping each other in the vertical direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming target to be transported along one direction, three or more image formers arranged away from each other along the one direction and configured to form images on the image forming target, and an image forming target winding motion correcting roller rotatably in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the image forming target and positioned on a downstream side of the image former at an upstream end in a transport direction of the image forming target so that plural image formers are positioned on a downstream side of the image forming target winding motion correcting roller. A distance between the plural image formers positioned on the downstream side of the image forming target winding motion correcting roller is an integral multiple of an outer peripheral length of the image forming target winding motion correcting roller.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a transfer cylinder that is rotatably supported, that has a first groove formed in an outer portion thereof in a rotational radial direction thereof, and that causes an image to be transferred to a recording medium when the recording medium passes along an outer surface of the transfer cylinder in the rotational radial direction; a fixing cylinder that is rotatably supported, that has a second groove formed in an outer portion thereof in a rotational radial direction thereof, and that causes the image transferred to the recording medium to be fixed to the recording medium when the recording medium passes along an outer surface of the fixing cylinder in the rotational radial direction; a circulating member that is loop-shaped and wrapped at least around the transfer cylinder and the fixing cylinder; plural holding members configured to hold the recording medium and supported by the circulating member such that the holding members are arranged in a length direction of the circulating member with predetermined intervals therebetween, each holding member being disposed in the first groove when the holding member passes along the outer portion of the transfer cylinder and disposed in the second groove when the holding member passes along the outer portion of the fixing cylinder; a pressure unit that is rotatably supported and that causes the recording medium to pass between the pressure unit and the fixing cylinder while a pressure is applied between the pressure unit and the fixing cylinder; and a transfer roller that is rotatably supported and disposed at a location close to the transfer cylinder, the transfer roller opposing the first groove when a rotationally upstream end portion of the second groove in the fixing cylinder is in contact with the pressure unit.
