SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATING A CUSTOMIZED WATCH FACE AND RETRIEVING THE WATCH FACE TO BE DISPLAYED
Systems and methods to create a customized watch face and retrieve the watch face to be displayed are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may effectuate presentation of a selection interface; receive a mint request to mint the watch face in accordance with a watch face design; effectuate a transfer of consideration from a user wallet to an administrative wallet; mint the watch face; transfer a non-fungible token to the user wallet; receive a display request to display the watch face on a watch screen; determine whether the user wallet holds a non-fungible token associated with the watch face; responsive to the user wallet holding the non-fungible token, facilitate display of the watch face on the watch screen; responsive to the user wallet not holding the non-fungible token, take no action to facilitate display of the watch face on the watch screen; and/or perform other operations.
WATCH INCLUDING A SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING BIOMETRIC ACCESS TO CONFIDENTIAL DATA
A method controls access to at least one confidential data access to which by a function of a watch requires an identification of its wearer. The method includes authenticating the wearer of the watch to authorise access to the functions of this watch, selecting one of the functions of the watch requiring the use of at least one of the confidential or general data archived in the memory element, determining the category to which the at least one data required by the function belongs, verifying the identity of the wearer of the watch from at least one biometric information element comprised within a portion of the skin of this wearer when the at least one data is the confidential data, and authorizing use of the at least one confidential data by the function as soon as the identity of the wearer of the watch is verified.
Information Terminal Device
An information terminal device according to the present invention is configured to be compact and realizes high-level functionality and/or multi-functionality by drawing out a film-like input/output portion from a casing when used, in a wristwatch type information device or a mobile information terminal device such as a game machine, for example. In addition, a support member supports a back surface of a free end portion side of the input/output portion, the support member is sandwiched between a guide member and a front frame of a casing, and the guide member enables the support member to move into/out from the casing, and supports the back surface of a base end portion side of the drawn-out input/output portion. Accordingly, a support structure that enables reliably performing input/output operations on the film-like input/output portion can be realized. Also, an angle adjustment mechanism is provided between the support member and the casing.

A timepiece including a case; pivotably mounted display hands; a movement to drive the display hands while defining a sweeping surface; a display screen, a first part of the sweeping surface being superimposed on the screen and a second part of the sweeping surface not being superimposed on the screen; a control circuit configured to sequentially switch between first and second operating modes, with: a first operating mode wherein the display hands are driven in the first and second parts of the sweeping surface; a second operating mode wherein the display hands are driven only in the second part of the sweeping surface with display of a piece of information by the display screen.

Versatile horology component
A horology component (1) for a timepiece, including a first portion (10) and a second portion (20), the first portion (10) comprising one part that is at least partially transparent and at least partially superposed on top of the second portion (20), this second portion (20) taking the form of a massive portion comprising a material capable of emitting at least one emission light wave if excited by at least one excitation light wave, and the at least partially transparent part of the first portion allowing an emission light wave emitted by the second portion (20) to be transmitted at least partially toward the outside of the horology component so that the horology component exhibits at least a first appearance by day and at least one different second appearance by night where the first portion (10) is backlit by an emission light wave emitted by the second portion (20).
DEVICE TIME-KEEPING STANDARD ADJUSTMENT
One embodiment provides a method, including: monitoring, using an accelerometer integrated with an information handling device, gravitational acceleration experienced by the information handling device; identifying, based on the monitoring, a change in the gravitational acceleration from a first gravitational acceleration metric to a second gravitational acceleration metric; and adjusting, responsive to the identifying, a time-keeping standard referenced by the information handling device based on the second gravitational acceleration metric. Display unit with orientation based operation
Systems and methods for modifying display unit operations based on orientation are provided. A controller receives orientation data from an orientation detection device and commands operations of a thermal management system based, at least in part, on the received orientation data. A solar angle relative to the electronic display may be determined based on a location, a date, a time, and the orientation data. Cooling may be modified based on solar angle relative to the electronic display. The orientation data may be used to check installation, determine damage, or position of display unit components.

The invention relates to a timepiece including, in addition to a crystal (34), the following external elements: a back (2), a middle (1), a dial (3) and two bracelet strands (30), at least one of these external elements comprising at least one part made of an at least partially transparent or translucent ceramic material, the timepiece further including at least two point light sources (10) releasing heat, each light source (10) being capable of being separately switched on/off and being disposed in or directly beneath said at least one external element comprising the ceramic material, each light source (10) producing light that passes through the ceramic material of said external element, and wherein each light source (10) is configured to produce localised light on a point or quasi-point area (40) of the ceramic material of the external element concerned, so as to produce localised illumination on said external element.
Playback Device with Conforming Capacitive Touch Sensor Assembly
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to playback devices having a non-flat surface and comprising a flexible electronic assembly conforming to that surface. The flexible electronic assembly may include (i) a flexible substrate having a first portion and a second portion, (ii) an array of capacitive touch sensor electrodes arranged on the first portion, and (iii) a plurality of conductors that are electrically coupled to the array of capacitive touch sensor electrodes and that extend onto the second portion. The first portion may include a plurality of cutouts. Each cutout of a first subset of the plurality of cutouts may be positioned between a respective set of two or more electrodes in the array of capacitive touch sensor electrodes. Each cutout of a second subset of the plurality of cutouts may be configured to reduce a wrinkling of the first portion when conforming the first portion to the non-flat surface.
