Reversible mounting systems offering mechanical support and electrical connections for light fixtures include a fixed, hard-wired portion that is typically installed on a wall or ceiling; and a connecting element configured to engage the fixed portion and to connect electrically thereto when so engaged. The connecting element may further include a light fixture or a flexible conducting cable to interconnect the connecting element and a remotely-located, suspended light fixture. Other features and characteristics are described and claimed.

Foldable power strip

A foldable power strip having a pair of housing members having one or more outlets thereon and being rotationally connected together about a hinge or vertical axis. A power cord housing is also connected about the hinge or vertical axis to permit the housing members and power cord to be independently rotated relative to one another. The inside walls of the housing members may include side members that define a recess for receiving and protecting the power cord when the housing members are in the closed position.

String lamp

The present invention relates to a string lamp. The string lamp includes a bulb, a lamp holder, a hollow connecting base and a capacitor embedded in the connecting base in a separable mode. A lower part of the bulb is contained in the lamp holder. At least two lamp pins extend out from wire holes formed in the lower part of the lamp holder. The inner side wall of the connecting base is provided with at least two separately arranged conductive pieces, and the conductive pieces are electrically contacted with the corresponding lamp pins. The capacitor is arranged below the lamp holder, and connecting pins of the capacitor are electrically contacted with the corresponding conductive pieces as well. The string lamp of the present invention is compact in structure, and the capacitor and the lamp holder are convenient to maintain and replace.

Electrical contact having contact surfaces in two planes perpendicular to each other

An electrical contact is provided. The electrical contact includes a mating segment configured to engage another contact. The mating segment extends a length to a contact end of the mating segment. The mating segment includes a first mating zone that is located a distance from the contact end along the length of the mating segment. The first mating zone is configured to intimately engage the other contact in a first plane for electrical communication between the electrical contact and the other contact. The mating segment includes a second mating zone that is offset from the first mating zone along the length of the mating segment in a direction toward the contact end. The second mating zone is configured to intimately engage the other contact in a second plane that extends approximately perpendicular to the first plane for electrical communication between the electrical contact and the other contact.

Connector housing mounted on a wall socket by means of an adaper plate

A retractable wall mounted electrical connector assembly is mounted to an existing electrical wall socket for charging a battery of a hand held device, and includes an adapter plate with adapter openings for alignment with the support openings of the wall socket, and a perimeter support rim. The cord housing includes a perimeter mating rim that fits with the perimeter support rim of the adapter plate, and a lock for connecting the perimeter mating rim of the cord housing to the perimeter support rim of the adapter plate.

Metering and measuring point system for measuring and metering electrical energy/electricity and method

An inductive drawing or feeding device for inductively drawing off or feeding in electrical energy/electricity by electric vehicles is connected to a power grid. The inductive drawing or feeding device includes a measuring device configured to measure at least one physical parameter representing the electrical energy inductively transmitted through the associated drawing or feeding device. The inductive drawing or feeding device also includes an identifier for identifying the owner of the connection of the inductive drawing or feeding device. The inductive drawing of feeding device further includes a comparing device configured to compare the at least one physical parameter measured at a connecting side with at least one physical parameter measured at a drawing off or feeding side.

Theftproof lamp
09746158 · 2017-08-29 · ·

A theftproof lamp (100), including a lamp body (110) and a lamp cap (120). A spring member (140) and a ratchet wheel mechanism (130) are provided inside the lamp for cooperating with each other and enabling theftproof effect. When turning the lamp clockwise, the lamp can be screwed down to a lamp socket. When turning the lamp counter-clockwise, the lamp can only make repetitive circular motions around the ratchet wheel and therefore achieve the theftproof effect. When a user needs to remove the lamp in a safe way, a bolt (170) can be moved inwardly to block the spring member from moving upward, so that the lamp body, ratchet wheel and lamp cap form a whole, without any movement in relation to each other, and therefore allowing easy removal of the lamp.

Solid state lighting apparatus with electrical connectors including portions of driver circuits
09750106 · 2017-08-29 · ·

A solid state lighting apparatus can include an electrical connector that is configured to releasably couple to a standardized electrical fixture having ac voltage provided thereat, where the electrical connector includes an opening that is configured to provide a recess in the electrical connector including an interior contact to provide the ac voltage in the recess when connected to the standardized electrical fixture. A protective circuit stage of a solid state lighting driver circuit can be in the recess to electrically coupled to the interior contact. An electrical wire can include a first portion that can be electrically coupled to the protective circuit stage in the recess and a second portion that is outside the recess. A solid state lighting housing can be configured to releasably couple to the second portion of the electrical wire.

Electrical card connector with contact module

A card connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts received in the insulative housing and a metallic cover covering the insulative housing. The contact includes a retaining portion, an extending portion horizontally and forwardly extending from the retaining portion, a connecting portion downwardly and forwardly aslant extending from the extending portion, a floating portion downwardly from the connecting portion and a contacting portion further downwardly extending from the floating portion. There are two bending points on linking portions of the connecting portion connecting with the floating portion and the extending portion, respectively. By such arrangement, when the electrical card is inserted, the contact can rotate about the two bending points in turn, that can improve an elasticity of the contact.

Wall mountable connector with commonly used field wire terminals spaced from one another

A wall mountable connector is configured for securing a thermostat to a wall.
