20210070082 · 2021-03-11 ·

An inkjet pre-treatment fluid for textile printing includes a fixing agent including a multivalent metal cation; and a blocked polyisocyanate selected from the group consisting of a non-ionic blocked polyisocyanate, a cationic blocked polyisocyanate, and an anionic blocked polyisocyanate having an acid number less than 5 mg KOH/g. The inkjet pre-treatment fluid further includes a liquid vehicle.

PRETREATING NATURAL FIBER FABRICS FOR DYE SUBLIMATION INK PRINTING

Provided are pretreatment compositions, pretreated fabrics, and methods of pretreating fabrics for improved printing quality. Pretreated fabrics include natural fiber fabric having a polymer coating. Methods of pretreating fabrics include spraying natural fiber fabric with a pretreatment composition that comprises one or more latex polymers, a coalescing agent composition, a surfactant composition, an ultraviolet stabilizer composition, an antioxidant composition, and a solvent.

Printing apparatus and printing method

A printing apparatus is provided that effectively prevents the risk of ink bleeding so as to obtain a high-quality print result. The printing apparatus includes an inkjet head that ejects droplets of ink using inkjet technique so as to adhere the ink to the medium, and an ultraviolet light source that radiates ultraviolet light. The ink contains a colorant, an ultraviolet absorbent, a resin, and an aqueous solvent that emulsifies or suspends the resin. The ultraviolet light source irradiates the ink adhered to the medium with ultraviolet light to heat the ink to a temperature lower than a boiling point of the ink and high enough to prevent the ink from bleeding, so that the aqueous solvent is at least in part volatilized and removed from the ink.

TEXTILE PRINTING

A method of textile printing can include ejecting an ink composition onto a fabric substrate and ejecting a blocked polyisocyanate crosslinker onto the fabric substrate. The ink composition can include from 60 wt % to 90 wt % water, from 5 wt % to 30 wt % organic co-solvent, from 1 wt % to 6 wt % pigment, and from 2 wt % to 10 wt % dispersed polymer binder. The method can also include crosslinking the dispersed polymer binder with a deblocked polyisocyanate crosslinker on the fabric substrate.
