PRE-AIR-FILTER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
20180028953 · 2018-02-01 ·

It is provided that a pre-air-filter, for an internal combustion engine, which allows stiffness to be assured even when the weight is reduced, which also has excellent dust holding properties, and which has an excellent resistance to entry of water. A pre-air-filter for an internal combustion engine (1) contains a nonwoven fabric comprising a first fiber having a melting point of not lower than 80 C. and not higher than 200 C., a second fiber having a melting point of higher than the melting point of the first fiber by not less than 30 C., being crimped, and having a hollow structure, entanglement of the first fiber and the second fiber by needle punching, and fusion of partly or entirely melted first fiber and the second fiber. This pre-air-filter (1) is installed at an air-inlet-side of a main-air-filter (2).

MICROFLUIDIC CONTROL SURFACES USING ORDERED NANOTUBE FABRICS

A method for arranging nanotube elements within nanotube fabric layers and films is disclosed. A directional force is applied over a nanotube fabric layer to render the fabric layer into an ordered network of nanotube elements. That is, a network of nanotube elements drawn together along their sidewalls and substantially oriented in a uniform direction. In some embodiments this directional force is applied by rolling a cylindrical element over the fabric layer. In other embodiments this directional force is applied by passing a rubbing material over the surface of a nanotube fabric layer. In other embodiments this directional force is applied by running a polishing material over the nanotube fabric layer for a predetermined time. Exemplary rolling, rubbing, and polishing apparatuses are also disclosed.

FIBER FILLING NONWOVEN
20250043473 · 2025-02-06 ·

This disclosure provides a fiber filling nonwoven, consisting essentially of at least one fiber web and first fiber balls. Parts of the first fiber balls are directly fixed on the at least one fiber web, and another parts of the first fiber balls are indirectly fixed on the at least one fiber through being fixed on the parts of the first fiber balls. The first fiber ball includes first hollow polyester fibers having a first crimp number and second hollow polyester fibers having a second crimp number, and the first polyester hollow fibers and the second polyester hollow fibers are inelastic hollow polyester fibers with an elastic elongation rate equal to less than 50%. A difference of the first and the second crimp number is in a range from 4 to 10. A compression resilience ratio of the fiber filling nonwoven is equal to or greater than 80%.

Spunbonded nonwoven fabrics

An object of the invention is to obtain spunbonded nonwoven fabrics including thin hollow fibers which have excellent lightweight properties and uniformity as well as exhibit high strength and flexibility. An aspect of the invention is directed to a spunbonded nonwoven fabric including hollow fibers of a propylene polymer, the hollow fibers satisfying the following requirements (a) to (c): (a) the C-axis orientation is at least 0.85, (b) the average fiber diameter is 5 to 20 m, and (c) the hollowness is 5 to 30%.

The present invention is an invention about ultra-light down padding and a web for down padding used in its manufacture, and relates to ultra-light down padding having a thin thickness, excellent insulation and excellent elasticity in 4-way (or multi-directions), and a web for down padding used for manufacturing the same.

TREATED NONWOVEN HAVING AN AFFINITY FOR AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT

A nonwoven having a high affinity for an active ingredient is proved, the nonwoven having at least one high surface area fiber in addition to the active ingredient.

Treated nonwoven having an affinity for an active ingredient

A nonwoven having a high affinity for an active ingredient is proved, the nonwoven having at least one high surface area fiber in addition to the active ingredient.

Layer for absorbent article

A carded staple fiber nonwoven comprising three or more stratums. The carded staple fiber nonwoven has a basis weight of up to about 175 gsm and includes a blend of absorbing fibers, stiffening fibers and filler fibers. The carded staple fiber nonwoven is heat stiffened and the three or more stratums are integrated without adhesives.

Fine hollow fibers having a high void fraction

A hollow fiber that extending along at least a portion of the fiber along a longitudinal axis thereof and is defined by an interior wall is provided. Through selective control over the manner in which it is formed, the present inventors have discovered that the hollow fiber can exhibit a unique combination of a high void fraction and small fiber size that makes it particularly suitable for use in certain applications, such as in nonwoven webs for absorbent articles.
