GARMENT
A garment of the present invention is a garment (1) including: a covering fabric; padding to be filled inside the covering fabric; and quilting stitches (2a, 2b). The padding is a polyester staple fiber cotton including fibers having a circular outer peripheral cross section and has an open fiber structure. The fibers constituting the padding have an irregular diameter, and a smoothing agent is fixed to surfaces of the fibers. Thus, it is possible to provide a garment free from problems of uneven distribution of padding after repeated washing, fatigue, etc., and having favorable water removability at the time of washing, quick dryability, and a favorable sliding property between fibers even though synthetic fiber cotton is used as the padding. This garment is suitable as a garment for sports to be washed repeatedly. Further, since the garment can be worn in a puffy state even when wet with sweat, rain, snow, water, etc., it dries quickly by the body temperature and prevents the coldness of the body.
LEATHER-LIKE FABRIC
A leather-like fabric has a feel of natural nubuck leather and a napped feel and air permeability of suede leather, as well as high wear resistance. The leather-like fabric includes a fibrous structure including ultrafine fibers having an average monofilament fineness of 0.0001 dtex or more and 0.5 dtex or less, at least one surface of the fibrous structure being napped, the napped surface having resin layers located discontinuously, and each of the resin layers containing two or more layers.
CRIMPED FIBER AND NONWOVEN FABRIC
Provided is a crimped fiber constituted of the following first component and second component, wherein the first component is a propylene-based resin composition containing a propylene-based polymer (1-A) in which a melting point (TmD) obtained under a specified condition exceeds 120 C. and a propylene-based polymer (1-B) satisfying the conditions that (a) a weight average molecular weight (Mw) is 10,000 to 200,000, (b) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) is less than 4.0, and (c) a melting point (TmD) obtained under a specified condition is 0 to 120 C.; and the second component is a propylene-based polymer (2) in which a melt flow rate (MFR) under the foregoing measurement condition is 1 g/10 min or more and 2,000 g/10 min or less, and a melting point (TmD) observed under the foregoing measurement condition by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) exceeds 120 C., or a propylene-based resin composition containing the propylene-based polymer (2).
SCAFFOLD SYSTEM FOR TISSUE REPAIR
A device for treating a damaged tissue includes an expandable scaffold positionable in a portion of a luminal tissue structure of a mammal; and maintained via stent technology, wherein the scaffold is comprised of electrospun fibers composed of a biodegradable compound. The scaffold serves as a temporary template that allows the tissue to be rebuilt.
Coform Material with Staple Fibers and Process for Forming Coform Materials
A coform material is provided including a nonwoven web containing a mixture of staple fibers and an absorbent material including pulp fibers. The staple fibers are present in an amount of from about 5 wt. % to about 50 wt. % and the pulp fibers are present in an amount of from about 50 wt. % to about 95 wt. %. The staple fibers have an average length of from about 5 mm to about 50 mm. The staple fibers and pulp fibers are thermally bonded or hydraulically entangled to form the nonwoven web. Methods and systems for producing coform materials are also provided.
NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE USING SAME
A nonwoven fabric has: a base section that is spread in a flat manner and that comprises a first surface and a second surface opposite each other; and a plurality of protrusions that protrude from the first surface of the base section in the thickness direction. Each of the protrusions is provided with a peripheral surface section that rises from the first surface of the base section in the thickness direction and a peak surface section comprising a peak surface formed on the vertex of the protrusion. The fiber density of the peripheral surface section is higher than the fiber density of the peak surface section. At least part of a peak surface peripheral edge part of the peak surface section is configured as a thickest section having the thickest thickness of the nonwoven fabric.
FIBROUS SHEET
Provided are a fibrous sheet having a stress relaxation rate defined by the following formula of less than or equal to 85%:
stress relaxation rate [%]=(stress S.sub.5 at extension after five minutes/stress S.sub.0 at initial extension)?100
when a stress at extension immediately after extension in an in-plane first direction at 50% elongation is defined as a stress S.sub.0 (N/50 mm) at initial extension, and a stress at extension at a time of extending in the first direction at 50% elongation for five minutes is defined as a stress S.sub.5 (N/50 mm) at extension after five minutes, and a bandage including the fibrous sheet.
FLAMEPROOF POLYPHENYLENE ETHER FORMED BODY, FLAMEPROOF POLYPHENYLENE ETHER FIBER FORMED BODY, CARBON FORMED BODY, ACTIVATED CARBON FORMED BODY, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A flameproof polyphenylene ether formed body of the present invention has a minimum value (%/ C.) of 0.40%/ C. or more and 0.10%/ C. or less in a differential thermogravimetric curve in a range of 400 C. to 550 C.
Bast fiber, fabrics made therewith, and related method of manufacture
The invention relates to methods for providing crimped bast fibers which may include providing an input of bast fibers, adjusting the moisture content of the bast fibers to be in the range of about 10% to about 40% by weight to form a fiber mat, and contacting the fiber mat with a pair of heated crimping rolls to provide crimped bast fibers having a crimp of about 1 to about 10 crimps per centimeter. The invention further provides for a nonwoven fabric comprising at least 5% of the crimped bast fibers. The crimping of the bast fibers in these nonwoven fabrics is beneficial to forming a drylaid, airlaid or wetlaid nonwoven fabric that has desirable properties related to performance in a variety of nonwoven product applications.
