Stackable molded articles, and related assemblies and methods
Molded articles are provided. An exemplary molded article includes an inner panel portion, a main body portion, and a contoured portion extending between and interconnecting the inner panel portion and the main body portion so as to surround the inner panel portion and be surrounded by the main body portion. The contoured portion includes contoured corner segments and contoured elongated segments extending between respective pairs of the contoured corner segments. The contoured corner segments have a first maximum thickness. The contoured elongated segments have a second maximum thickness that is greater than the first maximum thickness. Related methods, assemblies, and apparatus are also provided.
Door skin stacking
A plurality of stacked door skins is provided, the plurality including at least first and second door skins each including at least one inner panel, an outer body portion surrounding the at least one inner panel, and at least one contoured portion surrounding the at least one panel and interconnecting the at least one panel to the outer body portion. The at least one contoured portion includes a substantially V-shaped indent area adjacent to and within the outer body portion, a planar area that is substantially parallel to the outer body portion and is adjacent to and within the substantially V-shaped indent area, and a declining area adjacent to and within the planar area and terminating at the inner panel.
Systems and methods for the implementation of interchangeable door panels
The present disclosure provides for an interchangeable door system. The interchangeable door system may comprise a door, designed to interface with one or more panels. The door may comprise one or more insertion mechanisms, whereby the door and the panels may be joined. The interchangeable door system may comprise one or more panels. The panels may extrude-extend from the door to form a three-dimensional shape. The panels may comprise one or more guide pins. The panels may comprise one or more locking pins. The panels may comprise an electronic device. The panels may comprise an interactive device. The panels may comprise a storage device. The panels may comprise a securing mechanism.
HOLLOW CORE DOOR WITH ENHANCED ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE
The present disclosure provides an acoustic hollow core door comprising a door slab including an inner door frame, a first facing secured to a first side of the inner door frame, and a second facing secured to a second, opposite side of the inner door frame. The inner door frame and the first and second facings define an at least partially hollow air cavity, and at least one of the first or second facings has a thickness between about 0.150 and 0.320 inches and a nominal density of between about 0.80 and 1.1 grams per cubic centimeter. The hollow core door may include internal sticks or core inserts positioned within the hollow air cavity between the first and second facings. Acoustically absorptive material may be positioned within the hollow air cavity to reduce resonance effects around 250-315 Hz frequency range. The acoustic hollow core door achieves STC ratings of between about 25 and 31, while maintaining weight reduction compared to solid core doors with comparable acoustic performance.
