Pet door and detachable window systems
Implementations of detachable window systems may include: a main panel including one or more windows therein, the one or more windows in the main panel each having a window casing, a screen, and a window opening mechanism; an upper panel hingedly coupled to an upper side of the main panel; and a lower panel hingedly coupled to a lower side of the main panel opposing the upper side. The window opening mechanism on each of the one or more windows may be used to open the window to permit air to flow through the screen.
Doors and methods for reducing telegraphing therefor
This invention relates to doors having internal blocking components that reduce or eliminate telegraphing of the outer surface of the door facings. In particular, the invention relates to steel-edge steel doors that have internal solid wood blocks that have one or more integral cantilever beams formed into the blocks to interact with the adjoined oppositely arranged door facings in order to eliminate visually apparent door telegraphing. The blocks are modified to contain notches formed therein to form the cantilever beams.
DOOR ASSEMBLY
A door assembly and a frame member for a door assembly. The door assembly may include at least one door panel and a door frame having a plurality of frame members including a header and a pair of side jambs. The invention may also be considered a frame member including a storage compartment. The frame member may include a core; and a top piece adjoining the core to form a structural member. The core and the top piece may be a composite of cellulosic material and at least one other material. The top piece may be a two-piece top piece and may include hollow cavities. Also disclosed are door jamb frame members and mullion frame members.
ARTICLES MADE FROM LIPOPHILIC-RICH CELLULOSIC MATERIAL ANDS METHODS THEREFOR
The invention relates to systems and techniques for manufacturing articles containing cellulosic material, a tackifier, and a binder, and related processes of making and using the cellulosic articles. In particularly exemplary embodiments, the manufactured articles are door skins, sometimes known as door facings, and doors made from the door skins. The article contains a lipophilic cellulosic material, a tackifier, and a binder.
DOOR ASSEMBLY
A door assembly. The door assembly may include at least one door panel and a door frame having a plurality of frame members including a header and a pair of side jambs. The invention may also be considered a frame member. The frame member may include a core; and a two-piece top piece adjoining the core to form a structural member. The core and the top piece may be a composite of cellulosic material and at least one other material. The door assembly may further include at least one adjacent panel. Also disclosed are door jamb frame members and mullion frame members.
Insulated diamond plate backed novel portions of a garage door panel
An apparatus and method for forming new and novel portions of a garage door panel. This includes forming at least one decoration into a steel plate section and bonding to it a unique foam core where a mirror image decoration is routed into the foam core to exactly match the decoration. In addition, an aluminum diamond plate sheet with a front surface and a rear surface is bonded to the rear of the foam core. The aluminum diamond plate sheet also includes a sheet of steel affixed to its rear surface which rear surface is bonded to the foam core so that magnetic decorations can be attached to the front of the aluminum diamond plate sheet.
DOOR SKIN, A METHOD OF ETCHING A PLATE FOR FORMING A WOOD GRAIN PATTERN IN THE DOOR SKIN, AND AN ETCHED PLATE FORMED THEREFROM
The present invention is directed to a door skin having an exterior surface with an woodgrain pattern formed therein, and an etched plate for use as an embossing plate or with a molded die set, for forming the woodgrain pattern in the door skin. The exterior surface has outer portions lying on a first plane, spaced grooves recessed from the plane of the outer portions, and halftone portions. The halftone portions have spaced protrusions defined by channels, wherein the channels are recessed from the plane of the outer portions.
INTERNAL INTEGRAL REINFORCEMENT STRUT AND HINGE FASTENING BACKER PLATE FOR OVERHEAD SECTIONAL DOORS
A panel for an overhead sectional door includes an exterior skin on an exterior-facing side of the panel and an interior skin on an interior-facing side of the panel that define a plenum. An insulating material is disposed in the plenum. An upper backer strut is disposed in the plenum proximate a top leading edge of the interior skin and extends across a full length of the panel. A lower backer strut is disposed in the plenum proximate a bottom leading edge of the panel and extends across a full length of the panel. The upper backer strut and the lower backer strut each include first and second strut legs extending into the plenum. The first and second strut legs are spaced from the exterior skin. Hardware is attached to the panel by fastening the hardware to one of the upper backer strut and the lower backer strut.
