A device for stabilising a ladder against a surface, the ladder having a pair of stiles and a plurality of rungs connected therebetween, the device comprising: an engagement mechanism for releasably engaging two adjacent rungs, the engagement mechanism including two opposed receiving portions for at least partially receiving a rung, at least one of the receiving portions being selectively movable relative to the other thereby allowing the engagement mechanism to urge against the adjacent rungs; and at least one arm pivotably connected to the engagement mechanism to allow pivoting thereof to a fixed angle relative to the engagement mechanism, the at least one arm having an abutting portion for abutting under the surface, thereby allowing the ladder to be wedged between the surface and ground level to stabilise the ladder.

A safety rail that can be used in connection with ladder stands is disclosed. The safety rail can be used for the safe installation and/or take down of a ladder stand, and only one user is needed to install and/or take down the ladder stand when using the safety rail as disclosed herein.

A ladder weight having an elongated weighted member with a pair of parallel spaced arms attached to and extending upwardly from the elongated weighted member. The pair of arms terminate in a hooked portion adapted to receive a rung of the ladder. The arms and the hook portion have holes that are aligned to receive a bolt to secure the ladder weight to the rung of the ladder.

A ladder securing device (10) for securing a ladder (12) to the side of house to prevent the ladder from tipping over while unattended. The ladder securing device has a substantially U-shaped clip (2) that slides under a drip edge (13) and/or under a piece of fascia (14). The clip is then attached to a rung of a ladder using one or more straps (9) extending from the U-shaped clip.

A ladder tie off system incorporates a safety strap into a ladder for securing the ladder to prevent undesired tipping. The system includes a ladder having a pair of lateral side members and a plurality of rungs extending between the lateral side members. A extendable tether includes a tensioning mechanism, a fixed section, and an extendable section. A mount is coupled to the tensioning mechanism of the extendable tether. The mount is coupled to the ladder proximate a top end of the ladder wherein the extendable tether is configured for is secured to a static object near the top of the ladder whereby the ladder is inhibited from tipping during use.

It is disclosed a nivellation device making it possible to place ladders horizontally on sloping ground. Such a device comprises a foundation (1) onto which there is secured/placed an elevated area (2), said elevated area (2) functioning as a fulcrum/see-sawing point for a plate (3) onto which plate (3) there may be placed or secured a ladder (I), and said plate 3 being equipped with securing devices (4) that may stay the position of the plate (3) in relation to the foundation (1). Additionally it is disclosed a tightening device for a wire that may be used for securing the nivellation device in a correct horizontal orientation and a device for ensuring that the ladder is not displaced in relation to a house wall.

An apparatus attachable to an extension ladder is provided having a single leg extendable in a direction perpendicular and adjacent to the two lowest rungs of an extension ladder, a channel bar sized to receive a substantial length of a lowest rung of the ladder, and a hook for latching onto a next to lowest rung of the ladder. A foot pivotally mounted to the leg at one end thereof supports the leg onto or at least partially into a level or non-level surface. A step member extends from the leg at an angle. When the ladder is extended upwards by a user, a removable arm member is received through a holder of the leg to lie against a user's leg to provide stability and prevent spinning. The apparatus when attached to the lowest two rungs elevates the ladder to be non-contact with the level or non-level surface.

A mounting assembly for facilitating connection of ladder shoe-bearing ladder to a rotatable ladder base without creating two pivot points. The assembly is fixedly attached to a ladder shoe and is pivotably attached to a rotatable ladder base, but its rotatability, relative to the ladder base, is selectively disabled using an insertable retaining element.

A ladder safety device for removably securing a ladder to a parapet wall of a rooftop, including: a pair of support clamps securable to the parapet wall, each said support clamp including a first support member, a second support member, and an extended arm joining said first support member to said second support member, wherein a distance between said support members defines a width adjustable to the width of the parapet wall; an elongate plate connecting said pair of support clamps to each other; and at least one ladder hook extending from said elongate plate for securely receiving a rung of the ladder.
