Receiver speed ring and associated method(s)
11686455 · 2023-06-27 ·

A receiver speed ring configured to facilitate a safe way of mounting an associated light modifier to both a Balcar-type light source and a Bowens-type light source via a tube with outwardly protruding tabs as well as holes and slots that are punched into the tube, instead of the flared flange, which allows for a quick change between different light mounting systems (e.g., Balcar-type, Bowens-type) without obscuring or impeding a flash tube. The receiver speed ring includes a cylindrical hollow tube having a constant diameter and provided with a circumferential outer surface having a centrally registered longitudinal axis. The speed ring also includes a non-flared outer edge, a plurality of juxtaposed holes, a plurality of juxtaposed slots, and a plurality of juxtaposed outwardly protruding tabs are provided.

Protective Gear

Protective gear for a user having an inner panel and an outer panel that is configured so the user can use: only the outer panel; only the inner panel; or both panels together. This allows the user to launder, change and/or replace either panel, without sacrificing the utility of the other panel. The outer panel and the inner panel are temporarily attached to one another when used together. The outer panel's top edge along the user's nose and below the eyes is reinforced with a pliable material, allowing the user to form the top edge of the outer panel to the user's nose and face. There is a small gap in the reinforcements at the nose area, which allows the protective gear to be folded and stored. Both the inner panel and outer panel are formed to cover the user's nose and to accommodate the eye protection worn by the user. The protective gear is configured to give flexibility to the user by allowing the user to choose: (i) an outer panel with pockets for storing items; (ii) to incorporate lights on the outside of the outer panel, allowing the user to be more visible; (iii) to incorporate a flashlight on the outside of the outer panel; (iv) inner and outer panels with access to the user's mouth for drinking, smoking or vaping, without removing the protective gear; and (v) venting through the outer panel that is aesthetically pleasing to the user.

RECESSED DOWNLIGHT WITH INTEGRAL JUNCTION BOX
20170363261 · 2017-12-21 ·

A recessed downlight integrates a light engine assembly with a junction box containing a driver assembly. A single torsion spring is supplied at an end of the light engine assembly remote from its connection to the junction box, while a leaf spring attaches to the junction box near its connection to the light engine assembly, or is alternatively integrated into an extension of the junction box. The leaf spring allows for a high-enough tension to hold the light unit assembly in place in thin sheet metal, while allowing for a low-enough tension to accommodate holding the light unit assembly in place in drywall or a drop ceiling.

Coupling device and lamp apparatus having the same

A coupling device includes a plurality of frames, each of which includes a base wall, and two spaced-apart side walls that cooperate with the base wall to define an accommodation space. The frames are arranged such that the accommodation spaces of the frames communicate with each other. At least one coupling unit is disposed in the accommodation spaces of two adjacent ones of the frames and applies a force to the side walls of the two adjacent ones of the frames so as to couple together the two adjacent ones of the frames.

OPERATING DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR FOR AN ELECTRONIC HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
20170359067 · 2017-12-14 ·

An operating device for electronic household appliances has a cover plate with an operating section that is elastically deformable and/or movable with the operating section. A carrier plate is arranged on a side of the cover plate facing away from a user side and at a spacing distance from the cover plate. A sensor on the carrier plate detects a distance variation from the inner side of the cover plate in the region of the operating section of the cover plate. A geometrically stable light guide element is furthermore provided, which extends in a region outside the operating section of the cover plate from the cover plate to the carrier plate. The cover plate has a signal section that is at least partially light-transmissive in the region of the light guide element.
