At least one entry element on a radial outside of the cavity is arranged to counteract a force required to bend the support pin to an angle where the support pin can be inserted into the cavity.

A luminaire has a light engine configured to be attached to a light source circuit board or LED module. The light engine may have a block structure with a cavity extending into the block structure from an aperture. The light engine may also have a slot, extending through a sidewall of the block into the cavity perpendicular to a first direction. The slot may form a mounting surface that has a larger surface area than an area of the aperture, onto which the circuit board or LED module may be attached. Further, the circuit board or LED module may be removable from the cavity and slidable through the slot.

Additionally, light may be distributed from a top surface, a bottom surface and through an edge surface. In operation, the light fixture of figure may provide tri-directional lighting by providing light from the LEDs directed from one side of the light fixture, while providing light from a second side of the light fixture in the opposite direction (but offset), and directing a third portion of light from one of the LED arrays through a light pipe to an edge of the fixture. This allows a lighting designer a wide range of aesthetics and lighting affects because light of different densities may be directed where needed.

The trim comprises an outer trim perimeter and an inner trim perimeter. The inner trim perimeter defines an orifice through which light is emitted, wherein the outer trim perimeter includes a chamfered edge. The light fixture assembly further includes a skin having a second shape similar to the first shape and configured to at least partially cover the trim. The skin includes an outer skin perimeter configured to surround the outer trim perimeter, an inner skin perimeter configured to surround the inner skin perimeter, and a raised coupling feature configured to grip the chamfered edge of the trim. The skin is coupled to the trim via the engagement of the raised coupling feature and the chamfered edge.
