Equipment for solid-liquid separation and drying of fine-powder slurry, and method therfor
Prevention of contamination of a dried product, deformation of particles, and a change of particle size distribution. The system includes: a solid-liquid separator in which a processing material is supplied between a pair of endless separation filter cloths wound around an outer periphery of a separation roll, and is dehydrated by being squeezed therebetween and also by ventilation gas passing from a ventilation port formed in an outer peripheral surface of the separation roll; and a horizontal rotary dryer provided on a subsequent stage of the solid-liquid separator, wherein carrier gas is made to flow in a rotating shell of the dryer in a cocurrent manner in the same direction as a conveyance direction of the processing material.

Complex type dryer for high viscous materials
A complex type dryer includes a rotational cylinder, a drying material, a hot air provider, a hot air chamber and a scraping unit. The drying material provider is disposed over the rotational cylinder and coats a drying material on a surface of the rotational cylinder. The hot air provider is connected to both sides of the rotational cylinder, and includes first and second hot air tubes. The first and second hot air tubes alternately provide a hot air into the rotational cylinder or alternately exhaust the hot air passing through the rotational cylinder. The hot air chamber is disposed along an outer surface of the rotational cylinder outside of the rotational cylinder. The scraping unit is disposed at a side of the rotational cylinder, and removes the drying material from the surface of the rotational cylinder after dried by the rotational cylinder and the hot air chamber.
Continuous Drum Dryer and Methods of Use Thereof
The present disclosure provides for a continuous drying apparatus and a method of using the apparatus in the preparation of dried solids from slurries. The methods and apparatus are useful for the production of fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals, particularly using Integrated Continuous Manufacturing (ICM), but can also be integrated with other manufacturing processes, such as batch and semi-continuous processes.
MULTI-PASS DRYING PROCESS FOR A WET SUBSTANCE
A multi-pass drying process for a wet substance is disclosed. Said multi-pass drying process comprises the steps of passing the wet substance through at least two different drying stages to produce a semi-dried product between the drying stages, with stirring and ventilating the semi-dried product between each drying stage, wherein the wet substance or the semi-dried product is subjected to compression while being heated in at least one of the drying stages. The multi-pass process ensures a high degree of control over the final dried product and allows certain flexibility to ensure higher throughput. Such a multi-pass drying process is suitable when seeking to obtain food products such as dried food premix or food ingredients, where the final dried product needs to be of high dryness to attain longer shelf life, high nutritional content, strong aroma and to be superior in other organoleptic properties.
A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISCHARGING EVAPORATED PRODUCT MOISTURE FROM A DRUM DRYER
A system for the discharge of evaporated product moisture from a drum dryer, comprising: a vapour hood for collecting evaporated product moisture from the drum dryer; a discharge fan for discharging evaporated moisture from the vapour hood; control means to control the fan, for example to adapt a volume flow rate of the discharge fan to a volume flow rate of evaporated moisture under the vapour hood; wherein the hood sealingly engages the drum of the drum dryer.
The invention also provides a method for the discharge of evaporated product moisture from a drum dryer, wherein the volume flow rate of the fan is such that an interface between vapour and air is located below a top of the drum of the drum dryer.
