System for guiding an apparatus over a surface
09550107 · 2017-01-24 ·

An apparatus for sliding/gliding on a surface includes a long board and a short board connected to the long board through a hitch beam. The short board is connected to the hitch beam through an axle placed at an angle on the short board, and the long board is connected to the hitch beam through a stationary, non-rotating connection. A turn plate on the long board is connected to the short board so that as the turn plate rotates relative to the long board, the short board can be turned simultaneously with the lifting the lateral inside edge.

SPORTSBOARD STRUCTURES

A sports board that includes an elongate, water impervious, thermoplastic foam core having an upper surface and an under surface; an upper layer covering at least a portion of the upper surface; and an under layer covering at least a portion of the under surface. The foam core is made of a foamed material having a water absorption (measured according to ASTM C-272) of less than 2 volume percent.

SPLITBOARD INTERFACE

The present disclosure relates to splitboard bindings and interfaces. The improved splitboard interfaces can combine two or three components into one molded composite part. The interfaces can also utilize some of the same parts on the heelside of the assembly and the toe side. The interfaces can also be flipped to be used in different orientations (e.g., left foot forward or right foot forward). Embodiments can use concentric arced mounting slots to reduce the size of parts to achieve desired stance angles. Embodiments can also have a seam connection disk with a cove and bead for better joining at the seam of the splitboard. The improved splitboard interfaces can be easier to manufacture, lighter and stronger than other designs, and easier to use to provide a better overall snowboarding experience.
