Microorganisms for diterpene production
10689681 · 2020-06-23 · ·

The present invention relates to a recombinant microorganism comprising one or more nucleotide sequence(s) encoding: a polypeptide having ent-copalyl pyrophosphate synthase activity; a polypeptide having ent-Kaurene synthase activity; a polypeptide having ent-Kaurene oxidase activity; and a polypeptide having kaurenoic acid 13-hydroxylase activity, whereby expression of the nucleotide sequence(s) confer(s) on the microorganism the ability to produce at least steviol. The recombinant microorganism may also be capable of expressing one or more UDP-glucosyltransferases such that the microorganism is capable of producing one or more steviol glycosides.

SWEETENER COMPOSITIONS

A sweetener composition comprising xylose, a sugar alcohol and brown seaweed extract in solid form, preferably powdered or crystalline form. The sugar alcohol is preferably an erythritol and the brown seaweed extract is preferably obtained from Laminaria japonica. The sweetener composition can further comprise one or a combination of additional vitamins, minerals, probiotic cultures, and other plant-based extracts.

MOGROSIDES AND USE THEREOF
20200187550 · 2020-06-18 ·

The present invention provides a process for preparation of compositions comprising novel mogrosides from fruit of Siraitia grosvenorii. The compositions have superior organoleptic properties compared to known mogroside compositions and are useful in wider range of consumables including foods and beverages.

CALORIE REDUCED SUGAR SUBSTITUTE COMPOSITIONS
20200187535 · 2020-06-18 ·

A sugar substitute composition comprises a digestion resistant soluble fiber and a stevia leaf extract. The sugar substitute composition may include a natural masking flavor. The digestion resistant soluble fiber may be an isomalto-oligosaccharide.

Mogrosides, compositions and their purification

Novel mogrosides and methods for heir purification are provided herein. In addition, compositions comprising said novel mogrosides and methods for preparing the same are provided. The present invention relates generally to novel mogrosides, as well as compositions comprising such novel mogrosides, including consumables. The present invention further extends to methods of purifying such novel mogrosides, methods for preparing compositions (e.g., consumables) comprising such novel mogrosides and methods of enhancing the flavor or sweetness of consumables using these novel mogrosides.

Methods of Freeze Drying Compositions Containing Rebaudioside M and Rebaudioside D

Methods of preparing freeze dried powders comprising rebaudioside M and rebaudioside D are provided herein. The freeze dried powders produced by the disclosed methods exhibit improved aqueous solubility over known forms and compositions of rebaudioside M and rebaudioside D. Methods of preparing consumables, e.g. beverages, with the freeze dried compositions are also detailed herein.

Sweetness and Taste Improvement of Steviol Glycoside and Mogroside Sweeteners with Cyclamate
20200178574 · 2020-06-11 ·

Consumables comprising cyclamate and a steviol glycoside sweetener or mogroside sweetener are provided herein, wherein cyclamate, when present in an amount at or below its sweetness recognition threshold concentration, enhances the sweetness of and, optionally, improves the sweetness profile the sweetener, thereby providing a consumable that tastes more like a sucrose-sweetened consumable. Methods of enhancing the sweetness of a consumable, methods of making a consumable taste more like a sucrose-sweetened consumable and methods of preparing consumables are also detailed herein.
