When the valve portion 352b of spool 352 abuts on the wall surface, pressure receiving portion 352a of spool 352 abuts on end wall 351b.

A suction damping device for a variable displacement compressor includes a rotor rotatably received within a stator disposed in a suction port of the variable displacement compressor. The rotor includes an aperture and the stator includes a pair of opposing openings in selective fluid communication with the aperture of the rotor. An electromagnetic device controls a rotational position of the rotor relative to the stator based on a condition of an electrically controlled valve used to control an angle of inclination of a swashplate of the variable displacement compressor. A changing of the rotational position of the rotor relative to the stator causes a variable overlap to be formed between the aperture of the rotor and the openings of the stator to control a flow of a refrigerant through the suction damping device.

A capacity control valve for controlling a capacity of a fluid includes: a valve housing; a main valve closing and opening a communication between a Pc port and a Pd port when a main valve portion of a main valve element driven by a drive force of a solenoid comes into contact with and separates from a main valve seat; a pressure-sensitive valve which is opened by an ambient pressure; a hollow tube member which forms a part of the pressure-sensitive valve and allows the Pc port to communicate with a Ps port through a hollow communication path formed therein when the pressure-sensitive valve is opened; and an auxiliary communication path allows the Pc port to communicate with the Ps port independently of the pressure-sensitive valve, and the auxiliary communication path is configured to be able to increase a flow path cross-sectional area after the main valve is closed.

The capacity control valve is capable of simultaneously achieving reduction of a start-up time of the variable capacity compressor and improvement of responsiveness of capacity control at the time of control.

The second control valve 400 includes a back pressure chamber 410 communicating with an intermediate supply passage 145b1, a valve chamber 420 to which a valve hole 103d and a discharge hole 431a are open and that constitutes a part of the discharge passage 146, a partition member 430 partitioning into the back pressure chamber 410 and the valve chamber 420, and a spool 440 extending through a through hole 432a formed in the partition member 430. The spool 440 has a pressure receiving portion 441 disposed in the back pressure chamber 410, a valve portion 442 disposed in the valve chamber 420, and a shaft portion 443. The spool 440 is supported in a manner slidable in the opening and closing directions on the partition member 430 by arranging the spool valve 440a, constituted by the valve portion 442 and the shaft portion 443, to be in contact with the partition member 430.

A compressor includes a cylinder housing having a number of pistons, a control chamber communicating with piston casings, a suction chamber and a discharge chamber communicating with the piston casings, a control valve includes a receptacle engaged in the cylinder housing, a valve member engaged in the receptacle for controlling the pressurized air to flow from the discharge chamber into the control chamber of the cylinder housing, and a valve element for controlling a bypass of the pressurized air through the receptacle. A bellow device is connected to actuate the sliding member internally, and a sliding member is slidably engaged in the control space of the receptacle, and to operate the valve element externally with a solenoid device.

VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT COMPRESSOR

Provided is a variable displacement compressor capable of preventing intrusion of foreign matter into a second control valve. A variable displacement compressor 100 is equipped with a first control valve 300 controlling the opening degree of a supply passage 145, a check valve 350, a second control valve 400 controlling the opening degree of a discharge passage 146, and a back-pressure relief passage 147. The second control valve 400 has a back-pressure chamber 410 communicating with an intermediate supply passage 145b1, a valve chamber 420 in which a valve hole 103d and a discharge hole 431a are open and which constitutes a part of the discharge passage 146, a dividing member 430 dividing the back-pressure chamber 410 and the valve chamber 420 from each other, and a spool 440. In a state in which the first control valve 300 closes the supply passage 145 and in which a valve seat side end surface 442a of a valve portion 442 of the spool 440 is spaced away from a valve seat 103f to a maximum degree, an end wall side end surface 442b of the valve portion 442 abuts an end wall 432 of the dividing member 430, whereby communication between the valve chamber 420 and the back-pressure chamber 410 via a through-hole 432a of the end wall 432 is cut off.

DISPLACEMENT CONTROL VALVE

Provided is a displacement control valve capable of quickly reducing pressure in a control chamber to a level of pressure kept during continuous driving, at the time of the startup of a variable displacement compressor.

The valve housing is provided with a through hole constituting a part of a first communicating passage that communicates with pressure chamber at one end thereof and that is communicable with a second valve chest at the other end thereof.
