Image forming apparatus with lubricant supplier
An image forming apparatus includes: a lubricant supplier that supplies a lubricant onto an image carrier; a fixing member that is rotatable, and comes into contact with the image carrier to fix the lubricant supplied onto the image carrier; and a hardware processor that controls rotation of the fixing member.
Imaging system including image carrier and coating roller to lubricate image carrier
An imaging system includes an image carrier to carry a toner image, a coating roller to transfer a lubricant from a lubricant source to a surface of the image carrier, the coating roller being disposed adjacent to the image carrier to receive a toner from the image carrier, and a toner adjustment element to adjust a toner amount of the coating roller in an axial direction of the coating roller.
Imaging system
An imaging system includes a main body to accommodate a roller, and a lubricant unit. The lubricant unit includes a casing having an opening and a lubricant storage disposed inside the casing to store a lubricant. The casing is pivotably connected to the main body to displace the casing between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the lubricant storage is positioned to bring the lubricant in contact with the roller through the opening, and the pivotable connection is disposed below the casing. In the open position, the opening is exposed to an outside of the main body, and the opening of the casing is disposed upward.
Image forming apparatus and lubricant supply control method
Provided is an image forming apparatus including: a transfer member; a first image carrier on which a first toner image using toner of a first color is formed; a second image carrier which is provided on a downstream side relative to the first image carrier in a moving direction (rotating direction) of the transfer member, and on which a second toner image using toner of a second color is formed; a lubricant supply section that supplies a lubricant to the second image carrier; and a control section that controls a supply amount of the lubricant to the second image carrier in accordance with an overlap amount between the first toner image and the second toner image which are transferred from the first image carrier and the second image carrier to the transfer member.
Image forming apparatus and program
An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier; a lubricant applicator that applies a lubricant to the image carrier; a hardware processor; and a density unevenness measurer that is provided in the image forming apparatus or outside the image forming apparatus, and measures a first density unevenness for at least one of the density unevenness measurement image formed by the image former in the application unevenness detection mode or a density unevenness measurement image obtained by primary or subsequent transfer of the density unevenness measurement image, wherein the hardware processor detects the application unevenness of the lubricant applied by the lubricant applicator based on the first density unevenness measured by the density unevenness measurer.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearer, a protectant applicator, a heating device, and a protectant biasing member. The protectant applicator applies protectant to the image bearer. The heating device includes a heater including a base, a heat generator, an electrode, and a conductor coupling the heat generator to the electrode. The heater has a first position and a second position having a higher temperature than the first position. These are symmetrical to each other with respect to a longitudinal center of a heat generation area of the heater. The protectant biasing member biases the protectant to the protectant applicator with a first biasing force at a position closer to the first position than to the second position and with a second biasing force larger than the first biasing force at a position closer to the second position than to the first, and the protectant contacts the protectant applicator.
Image forming apparatus capable of supressing toner remaining in an outer region of a photoconductor
An image forming apparatus includes: a photoconductor; a charging roller; an exposure device; a developing device that is provided on a downstream side of the charging roller in a rotation direction of the photoconductor, and forms a toner image by supplying toner to a latent image; a cleaning blade that is provided between a transfer part of a surface of the photoconductor located on a downstream side of the developing device in the rotation direction of the photoconductor and the charging roller, and removes residual toner adhering to a part of the surface of the photoconductor on a downstream side of the transfer part; a lubricant supplier that supplies a lubricant to the surface of the photoconductor; and a voltage controller that controls a charging voltage to be applied to the charging roller.
Image forming apparatus having a protective agent coater
An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier to rotate about a rotation axis, a cleaning blade to contact a surface of the image carrier, and a protective agent coater. The protective agent coater has a rotatable shaft extending along the rotation axis of the image carrier, an elastic body formed around the rotatable shaft, and a waste toner supply member. The waste toner supply member supplies waste toner to the elastic body of the protective agent coater. The elastic body transfers protective agent from a protective agent supply to the image carrier. The protective agent coater is positioned upstream of the cleaning blade in the rotation direction of the image carrier.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF SUPRESSING TONER REMAINING IN AN OUTER REGION OF A PHOTOCONDUCTOR
An image forming apparatus includes: a photoconductor; a charging roller; an exposure device; a developing device that is provided on the downstream side of the charging roller in the rotation direction of the photoconductor, and forms a toner image by supplying toner to the latent image; a cleaning blade that is provided between a transfer part of the surface of the photoconductor located on a downstream side of the developing device in the rotation direction of the photoconductor and the charging roller, and removes the residual toner adhering to a part of the surface of the photoconductor on a downstream side of the transfer part; a lubricant supplier that supplies a lubricant to the surface of the photoconductor; and a voltage controller that controls a charging voltage to be applied to the charging roller.
Maintaining layer of cleaning solution on photoconductive surface via wiper with purposefully rounded edge
A cleaning solution is used to at least substantially remove colorant from the photoconductive drum as the photoconductive drum rotates. A wiper wipes the cleaning solution from the photoconductive drum while purposefully maintaining a layer of the cleaning solution on the drum. The wiper has an edge that is purposefully rounded.
