In various embodiments, the UV sensor may use the photoelectric effect to sense narrow-band UV photons in a Geiger-Mueller tube and circuit configuration. In various embodiments, the reflective parabolic dish may be fixed relative to the UV sensor and include a reflective concave surface. The reflective concave surface may be configured to reflect narrow-band UV photons toward the UV sensor.
Particle interaction characterization using overlapping scattering and concentration measurements
Disclosed in one general aspect is a particle interaction characterization instrument that comprises a flow cell for a liquid sample that includes suspended particles and a light source positioned to illuminate the suspended particles in the liquid sample fluid in the sample vessel. A first scattering detector is positioned to receive light from the light source that has been scattered by the particles suspended in sample fluid in the sample vessel at at least one predetermined scattering angle. An ultraviolet transmittance detector is positioned to receive a portion of the light from the source that passes through the suspended particles without being absorbed or scattered. Interaction analysis logic is responsive to both the scattering detector and the ultraviolet detector, and is operative to derive at least one interaction property for the suspended particles.

The ultraviolet-sensing sheet has a change in reflection density D1 of 0.2 or more over a range of cumulative illuminance 1 mJ/cm.sup.2 or more and less than 10 mJ/cm.sup.2, a change in reflection density D2 of 0.2 or more over a range of cumulative illuminance 10 mJ/cm.sup.2 or more and less than 100 mJ/cm.sup.2, and a change in reflection density D3 of 0.2 or more over a range of cumulative illuminance 100 mJ/cm.sup.2 or more and 1,000 mJ/cm.sup.2 or less, as measured at a wavelength of 365 nm when the ultraviolet-sensing sheet is irradiated with a high-pressure mercury lamp.
Portable ultra violet C sanitizer
The Portable Ultra Violet C Sanitizer is a self-contained, portable, self-shut-off, preprogrammed/programmable UVC light irradiation microorganism inactivation device that more effectively, efficiently and safely sanitizes surfaces than comparable products presently on the market. Advantageously, the device provides a faster alternative for UVC sterilization of a surface, while protecting the operator from potentially dangerous exposure to the UVC radiation.
