Ultra-wideband location systems and methods
A method includes sending, by a master beacon device and one or more beacon repeater devices, ultra-wideband (UWB) beacon frames. The UWB beacon frames are transmitted as interleaved pairs of UWB beacon frames. Each interleaved pair includes a first UWB beacon frame and a second UWB beacon frame. For each interleaved pair, the first UWB beacon frame and the second UWB beacon frame are transmitted with a master time delay. The method further includes receiving, by one or more tag devices, at least one of the interleaved pairs of UWB beacon frames.
Resource allocation according to geolocation of mobile communication units related applications
A system and method for using wireless location of mobile communication units for identifying and allocating resources for access by users of such mobile communication units via bringing the user and such a resource together. Such a user may be routed to such a resource even though the resource cannot be reserved for user access. A resource allocation priority between users mitigates a user not being able to access the user's allocated resource, e.g., due to another user accessing the resource. The resources can be, e.g., a parking space, public transportation (e.g., bus, train, taxi), seating at an open admission event, accessing a theme park ride, and the like. By wirelessly locating the user's mobile communication unit, the user may be navigated to such a user allocated resource.
MULTI-FUNCTION ROOM CONTROLLER
A room controller for providing local control of conditions within a room, comprising: a housing; a controller disposed within the housing, the controller being configured to: receive a plurality of sensor inputs, each sensor input being representative of a condition within the room; determine, from at least one of the plurality of sensor inputs, whether a condition within the room fails to satisfy at least one of the plurality of room condition requirements; and upon determining that the condition within the room fails to satisfy the requirement, performing at least one of: controlling at least one connected device to take an action designed to satisfy the room condition requirement, or sending an alert to at least one device located outside of the room that the room condition fails to meet the room condition requirement.
Beacon system
An apparatus includes a processor, a transceiver connected to the processor, an integrated circuit connected to the processor, a first proximity sensor configured to provide a first sensor input to the integrated circuit, and a second proximity sensor configured to provide a second sensor input to the integrated circuit. When the integrated circuit determines that the first sensor input represents a first detection event, the processor sets a timer and when the timer expires before the integrated circuit determines that the second sensor input represents a second detection event, the processor sends a message through the transceiver.
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing a smart beacon monitoring system
In accordance with disclosed embodiments, there are provided systems, methods, and apparatuses for implementing a smart beacon monitoring system supported by a processor and a memory to execute such functionality. For instance, in accordance with one embodiment there is an Internet of Things (IOT) beacon, which includes: a light source; a Remote Transmission Unit (RTU) to communicate with a remote centralized communication station over a network; a plurality of sensors, each to collect telemetry data at the IOT beacon; in which the RTU is to transmit the collected telemetry data from the plurality of sensors to the remote centralized communication station over the network for analysis; in which the remote centralized communication station is to identify a current or predicted failure condition at the IOT beacon based on the analysis of the collected telemetry data from the plurality of sensors; and in which the remote centralized communication station is to initiate one or more alerts to have service personnel perform maintenance to correct the identified current or predicted failure condition at the IOT beacon. Other related embodiments are disclosed.
Apparatus and method for providing payment service based on beacon in beacon service system
An apparatus and method are proposed for providing a beacon-based payment service in a beacon service system including a point of sales (POS) device for payment and a user device using a beacon service application. The apparatus may include a beacon module configured to emit a beacon signal, and an input module configured to receive a user input for triggering the beacon-based payment service. The apparatus may further include a POS control unit configured to identify predetermined strength of a beacon signal when an event for triggering the beacon-based payment service occurs, to control emission of the beacon signal with the identified strength through the beacon module, to detect whether a user device accesses content regarding the emitted beacon signal, and to control retransmission of the beacon signal through the beacon module by increasing the strength of the beacon signal by a predetermined value if there is no access to the content.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MUSTER WITH BEACONS AND GATEWAYS
Systems for muster include an entrance receiving device in a location adapted to receive a plurality of beacon broadcasts from one or more of a plurality of mobile beacons, each associated with a worker and broadcasting an identification ID of the worker, to create an on-site record of workers entering or exiting the location. The system includes a muster site receiving device at a muster site to record an identification ID from beacon broadcasts of workers at the muster site. The on-site record is compared to the recorded muster site IDs to determine if all workers have mustered. Alarms may be triggered if not.
Method and system for locating a mobile asset
An improved system and method for creating and accessing a centralized database containing an assorted variety of information related to a debtor such as physical addresses of the debtor or his friends, associates and relatives, as well as information related to a mobile asset, such as physical description information, collectively referred to as identifying information. Methods are also disclosed for lenders and others to send identifying information to the centralized database, and for users such as skip tracers to be able to download and use the information located in the database for asset recovery purposes.
Collision warning system for safety and construction environments
A collision warning system configured to provide a warning or alert to workers in environments where collisions with hazards (e.g., moving vehicles and equipment, or fixed hazards) may occur. The system includes a hazard node including a transmitter for emitting a beacon, and a body worn device including a receiver for receiving the beacon, a controller operably coupled to the receiver, and an indicator operably coupled to the controller.
Self-Organizing Hybrid Indoor Location System
Systems and methods for identifying device location are provided. The method can include providing, by a mobile computing device, at least a first ultrasonic signal to a first and a second self-organizing beacon device. The method can include receiving, by the mobile computing device, a first radio frequency signal including the location of the first beacon device and a second radio frequency signal including the location of the second beacon device. The method can further include determining a first time-of-flight associated with the first beacon device and a second time-of-flight associated with the second beacon device. The method can include determining a location of the mobile computing device based at least in part on the first time-of-flight, the second time-of-flight, the location of the first beacon device, and the location of the second beacon device.
