Method for the network initialization of a network for the radio location of objects within a limited space
In a method for initializing at least one network segment of a network for the wireless location of movable locating objects arranged in a limited space using pulsed radio signals, wherein the at least one network segment in the limited space has at least two spaced apart reference nodes which form a chain-shaped communication network and which are autarkic in terms of communication, wherein a locating object arranged in the limited space is able to be located using one of the distance-based trilateration carried out by at least three reference nodes, and wherein general information is communicated by broadcast channels, the reference nodes listen to the broadcast channels in a standby position until initial information about their active participation in the communication network is received.

RFID LOCATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Embodiments of the present invention include radio frequency identification location systems and methods. In one embodiment, RF signals are transmitted from one or more RFID readers, and in accordance therewith, backscattered signals are received from a tag to be located. A plurality of measured position parameters are used to determine a location of the tag. In one embodiment, one reader may transmit and three readers may receive signals to determine the position of a tag. In other embodiments, multiple readers may transmit and receive. In another embodiment, one reader may transmit from different positions to locate a tag. Embodiments of the invention may be used to track a moving tag. A reader's position may be determined using GPS, reference tags, or the reader may be positioned in a known location. A map may be provided to a user to display the location or movement of a tag or a corresponding item.

Signaling print locations
An example unmanned aerial vehicle includes an electromagnetic radiation (EMR) sensor. The EMR sensor detects a signal indicative of a direction of emission of the signal. The unmanned aerial vehicle also includes a nozzle to eject the substance based on the direction of emission.
Image forming method
A portable terminal comprises an ID acquisition section, a position information acquisition section and a return instruction section. The ID acquisition section acquires ID information that specifies a print job sent from an information processing apparatus to an image forming apparatus. In a case in which the ID information is acquired and a beacon signal is received from a beacon transmitter, the position information acquisition section acquires, according to the received beacon information, position information relating to a position of the portable terminal relative to the image forming apparatus. If the position information meets a specific condition indicating the approach of the portable terminal to the image forming apparatus, the return instruction section instructs the image forming apparatus to return from a power-saving mode to a normal mode.

Personal items network, and associated methods
A personal items network, comprising a plurality of items, each item having a wireless communications port for coupling in network with every other item, each item having a processor for determining if any other item in the network is no longer linked to the item, each item having an indicator for informing a user that an item has left the network, wherein a user may locate lost items. A method for locating lost personal items, comprising: linking at least two personal items together on a network; and depositing one or both of time and location information in an unlost item when one of the items is lost out of network.
