Apparatus, system and method of a one-sided location measurement
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of one-sided location measurement. For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a wireless station to transmit an announcement element to announce a Non-Data Packet (NDP) sounding transmission including a plurality of sounding preambles, the announcement element including at least a measurement type field to indicate a type of a one-sided location measurement, and one or more configuration fields including configuration information to configure the one-sided location measurement based on the NDP sounding transmission; and to transmit the NDP sounding transmission subsequent to the announcement element.
MULTIFUNCTION CHANNELIZER/DDC ARCHITECTURE FOR A DIGITAL RECEIVER/EXCITER
A digital receiver includes a digital synthesizer that generates a local oscillating (LO) signal at a selected frequency, and a signal mixer that receives an input signal and generates a mixed output signal in response to shifting a phase of the input signal based on the frequency of the LO signal. A multi-mode dynamic channelizer is selectively operable in a first mode and a second mode. The first mode generates a plurality of individual channels having a channel size defined by a bandwidth and a gain, and the second mode generates a parallelization of a selected channel. In response to operating in the second mode, the multi-mode dynamic channelizer adjusts at least one of the bandwidth and the gain of the selected channel based on the mixed output signal to change the channel size of the selected channel.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE DIRECTION OF ARRIVAL IN PRESENCE OF ALIASING AND ASSOCIATED DEVICE
The invention relates to the method for determining the direction of arrival of radio signals in the presence of aliasing, the method using an interferometric array (12) with four antennas (16) with identical diagrams, and sampling by two distinct sampling frequencies per antenna (16), the method also comprising, for all of the detected wanted signals: the determination of the interference situation for each antenna (16), for the antennas (16) other than the antenna (16) affected by the double interference, the phase of the wanted signal, and for any antenna (16) affected by the double interference, the estimate of the phase of the wanted signal.

Disclosed are examples of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for locating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A region of airspace may be scanned with two scanning apparatuses. Each scanning apparatus may include one or more directional Radio Frequency (RF) antennae. The two scanning apparatuses may have different locations. Radio frequency signals emitted by a UAV can be received at each of the two scanning apparatuses. The received radio frequency signals can be processed to determine a first location of the UAV.

Disclosed are examples of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for locating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A region of airspace may be scanned with two scanning apparatuses. Each scanning apparatus may include one or more directional Radio Frequency (RF) antennae. The two scanning apparatuses may have different locations. Radio frequency signals emitted by a UAV can be received at each of the two scanning apparatuses. The received radio frequency signals can be processed to determine a first location of the UAV.

The invention relates to an apparatus for representing user information including an antenna apparatus, a processing apparatus and a representation apparatus. The antenna apparatus receives signals of a transmitter in a scene with at least one directional characteristic relating to spatially different receive sensitivities. Alternatively or additionally, the antenna apparatus sends signals with at least one directional characteristic into a scene and receives signals of a transmitter from the scene. The processing apparatus processes the received signals with respect to the scene and determines representation data represented by the representation apparatus. Antennas for producing a variable phase response, angle-of-arrival sensors and methods for determining angle of arrival
An antenna includes antenna structure configured to receive electromagnetic radiation and including an antenna geometry. The antenna geometry is configured to cause a variable phase shift in the electromagnetic radiation based on an angular position of a direction of propagation of the electromagnetic radiation relative to azimuth. An angle-of-arrival sensor includes the antenna configured to the receive electromagnetic radiation and to produce a phase-shift signal. A method for determining an angle of arrival of electromagnetic radiation uses the angle-of-arrival sensor.

Systems and methods are provided for a digital beamformed phased array feed. The system may include a radome configured to allow electromagnetic waves to propagate; a multi-band software defined antenna array tile; a power and clock management subsystem configured to manage power and time of operation; a thermal management subsystem configured to dissipate heat generated by the multi-band software defined antenna array tile; and an enclosure assembly. The multi-band software defined antenna array tile may include a plurality of coupled dipole array antenna elements; a plurality of frequency converters; and a plurality of digital beamformers.
Angle of arrival of wireless local area network devices using a switched beam antenna
A method and apparatus for measuring the angle of arrival AOA of Wi-Fi packets, using a switched beam antenna SBA is described. Wide antenna beams, quadrants, are selected in turn and a burst of packets is transmitted on each quadrant. The quadrant with the highest average signals strength is selected. Then the narrow antenna beams that make up that selected quadrant are selected, in sequence, and the average signal strength for each narrow beam is recorded. The narrow beam with the highest average signal strength is returned as the AOA. Based upon which narrow beam recorded the highest signal strength, the next sequence of antenna beams is selected. When the SBA is mounted on a mobile platform, the parameters of the transmission bursts are chosen such that the angular error due to cornering of the platform is negligible.
