System and method for providing enhanced security of physical assets within a physical infrastructure
The disclosure relates to a system and method for providing enhanced security of physical assets within a physical infrastructure. The method includes receiving an overall layout of the physical infrastructure and multi-modal input with respect to the physical asset from a plurality of sensors installed within the physical infrastructure. The multi-modal input includes acoustic signal generated by or reflected off the physical asset and captured by a set of acoustic sensors. The method further includes generating a digital asset corresponding to the physical asset by determining an identification, a location, a shape, a size, and a behavior of the physical asset based on the multi-modal input and the overall layout, detecting one or more events of interest involving the digital asset based on the behavior of the physical asset, and simulating the one or more events of interest to evaluate a possible fault or a possible security threat.
Vector Sensor-Based Acoustic Monitoring System
An acoustic monitoring system characterizes, classifies, and geo-locates anthropogenic and natural sounds in near real time. The system includes a compact array of three acoustic vector sensors, which measures acoustic pressure and the three-dimensional particle velocity vector associated with the propagation of an acoustic wave, thereby inherently providing bearing information to an underwater source of sound. Beamforming techniques provide sound source localization, allowing for characterization of the acoustic signature of specific underwater acoustic sources.

Ultrasonic locationing system using a doubly symmetrical transmission sequence
A method and apparatus for locating a target in a venue is described. A backend controller activates transmitters in a venue to send burst signals using a double symmetry configuration formed of a plurality of separate transmitter groups. The backend controller activates the transmitters into a second, different configuration for bursting. The resulting location signal information from each configuration is obtained by the backend controller, which then more accurately determines the location of the target in the venue.
Method of wireless geolocated information communication in self-verifying arrays
Methods and apparatus for transmitting information associated with verified positions of Nodes based upon wireless communications between Nodes included in an array. Values for variables derived from multiple wireless transmissions between Nodes are aggregated, and a position of a particular Node may be determined based upon multiple data sets generated by multiple communications between disparate Nodes. Information is geolocated based upon the respective positions of the disparate Nodes. A user interface may provide a pictorial view of positions of all or some Nodes in an array, as well as associated information.
