Forward acoustic scattering based double-transmitter and double-receiver networking target detection system and method thereof
The present invention relates to a forward acoustic scattering based double-transmitter and double-receiver networking target detection system and method thereof. Two transmitting ends and two receiving ends are adopted, anchored at a sea bottom, and arranged in a parallelogram layout. Time of a target crossing transmitting-receiving connection lines is extracted by adopting a proper direct wave suppression method; and unknown parameters of the horizontal distance, the target velocity and the included angle between the target track and the transmitting-receiving connection lines are estimated at corresponding moving time intervals when the target crosses the four transmitting-receiving connection lines according to different crossing modes. An arrangement mode is simple and flexible, and monitoring of sea areas and sea channels can be realized. The information of the time of the target crossing the transmitting-receiving connection lines, extracted by the method, is more accurate and reliable.

WIDEBAND ACOUSTIC POSITIONING WITH PRECISION CALIBRATION AND JOINT PARAMETER ESTIMATION
A system includes at least one processor and at least one memory storing program instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to send an acoustic ranging transmitter signal between a plurality of calibration reference positions and at least one anchor point, receive an acoustic ranging receiver signal associated with the acoustic ranging transmitter signal and with distances between the plurality of calibration reference positions and the at least one anchor point, and estimate a speed of sound based on the acoustic ranging receiver signal.

Method and apparatus for automated site augmentation
Methods and apparatus for wireless communication area augmentation. A plurality of Nodes or Tags assist in aligning real-world with virtual-world content. Using augmented reality, an Agent may detect one or more Tags by the reflection or other reception of wireless energy in a Radio Target Area. This may be correlated with information in a database about an object proximate to the Tag. In this way, messages, history, and other information about the object may be easily conveyable to the Agent.
OBJECT-LOCALIZATION AND TRACKING USING ULTRASONIC PULSES WITH REFLECTION REJECTION
Methods and systems are disclosed for determining pose information for at least one of a transmitter and receiver, both of which comprise ultrasonic transducers. A relative position is determined between the transmitter and the receiver and an orientation for at least is also determined. After obtaining field of view data for at least one of the transmitter and receiver, a field of view between them is determined, based at least in part on the field of view data, the determined relative position and the determined orientation. The pose information is then determined by weighting measurements of an ultrasonic signal emitted by the transmitter and received by the receiver based at least in part on the determined field of view relationship.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REQUESTING AND GRANTING PRIORITY BETWEEN VEHICLES
The disclosure relates to a method for requesting and granting priority between a host vehicle and other vehicles, and to a system which implements the method. The host vehicle, through the use of on-board vehicle sensors, detects and identifies an impeding vehicle which interferes with the host vehicle's path. The host vehicle transmits a priority request to the impeding vehicle. The priority request includes a remuneration offer. The impeding vehicle evaluates the priority request, including the sufficiency of the host vehicle's remuneration offer, and grants or denies the host vehicle's priority request. If granted, the impeding vehicle modifies its path to be less impeding to the host vehicle, for example by assuming a cooperative path that lets the host vehicle pass the impeding vehicle.
