RESIN SHEET, LAMINATE, AND RADAR SYSTEM
A resin sheet includes a porous structure. The porous structure is configured to adjust transmission of a millimeter wave. The porous structure has a relative permittivity varying in stages in a thickness direction of the resin sheet from a plane on which the millimeter wave is incident, the relative permittivity varying such that a difference between average relative permittivities in two adjacent layer portions is a predetermined value or less, the layer portions each having a particular thickness smaller than a wavelength of the millimeter wave. The porous structure has, as pores, only pores each having a pore diameter equal to or less than 10% of the wavelength of the millimeter wave.
Sensor Module for Being Attached to a Panel Component of a Motor Vehicle and Panel Component Comprising Such a Sensor Module
A sensor module for being attached to a panel component of a motor vehicle, the sensor module may have a sensor housing, at least one environment sensor disposed at least partially in the sensor housing and configured to send and/or receive electromagnetic signals to thus detect a vehicle environment, and an adjustment kinematics system having a drive configured to move the environment sensor from a retracted position into at least one deployed position. A cover is disposed on the sensor housing in an adjustable manner, and the drive is configured to move the cover from a covering position into at least one open position.
Antenna device
An antenna device includes: an antenna configured to radiate a radio wave; a substrate at which the antenna is provided; and a cover which covers the substrate from a radiation surface side of the antenna, the cover is a dielectric material, a maximum distance between the cover and the substrate in a normal direction to the substrate is smaller than ½ of a free space wavelength of the radio wave, and a thickness of the cover is smaller than ½ of an effective wavelength of the radio wave in the cover.
Cleaning apparatus for sensor
A sensor-cleaning apparatus includes an upper piece, a lower piece fixed to the upper piece, a plurality of inserts inserted into the upper piece, and a plurality of nozzles. The upper piece and the lower piece form a tubular segment that is elongated along an arc of a circle and encloses a chamber. Each nozzle is formed of the upper piece and one of the inserts. Each nozzle includes a deflection surface and a tunnel from the chamber to the deflection surface, and each tunnel is partially formed of the upper piece and partially formed of the respective insert.
Apparatus for measuring levels of materials
An apparatus for determining the identity, location, or level of one or more material phases or the location of an interface between two material phases within a defined volume having, a linear array of units configured to generate and detect electromagnetic radiation; an elongate enclosure containing the array of units, being at least partially transparent to the electromagnetic radiation generated by the units; the apparatus being configured to be at least partially submerged within the one or more material phases within the defined volume, the linear array of units being configured to generate transmission signals through the at least partially transparent elongate enclosure to the one or more material phases surrounding the enclosure at locations along the length of the enclosure, and to receive return signals through the elongate enclosure at locations along the length of the enclosure from the one or more material phases surrounding the enclosure.
RADAR BASED SENSING FOR RETAIL APPLICATIONS
A radar system for monitoring shelves in a retail environment, where the system monitors the occupancy of the shelves and/or the dynamics of the customers in front of the shelves. The radar is preferably a wideband 3D imaging MIMO radar.
AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE WITH UNOBTRUSIVE SENSORS
A vehicle having an array of sensors mounted entirely within and without protrusion beyond a pre-existing exterior surface of a vehicle, sufficient to give a substantially complete 360 degree perimeter sweep of data collection for operating an autonomously driven vehicle.
RADAR SENSOR WITH RECESSED RADOME
A radar sensor includes a housing, cover, and a plurality of transmit and receive antennas. The housing includes a cavity retaining a processing board. The cover defines a radome having a recess into the cavity with two separate and connected areas. The transmit and receive antennas are positioned on the processing board, adjacent to, and separated by a gap from, the recess. The transmit antennas are configured to transmit RF signals through the first area of the recess. The receive antennas are configured to receive RF signals returning through the second area of the recess.
VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE
A vehicle body structure includes a garnish provided on an outer side of a vehicle, an adapter joined to the garnish, a radar device supported by the adapter, and a cover joined to the garnish and covering the radar device. The garnish includes a mounting hole, a first annular rib extending to surround the mounting hole, and an annular surface defined by an edge part of the mounting hole and the first annular rib. The adapter is joined to a back side of the garnish in a position corresponding to the mounting hole. The cover includes a plate-shaped portion that is disposed inside the first annular rib, has an outer edge portion opposing an inner side surface of the first annular rib via a first clearance, and covers the mounting hole, and restriction walls protruding from a back side of the plate-shaped portion toward the annular surface.
Sensor holder for a sensor for object detection
A sensor holder for a sensor for object detection includes: an installation unit for the sensor; a holding frame on which the installation unit is pivotably held; and an adjustment shaft mounted on the holding frame, the adjustment shaft having a guidance contour which proceeds helically around the adjustment shaft and is in engagement with a guidance element of the installation unit.
