ANNOTATION CONTROL FEATURES FOR WEB BROWSER EDITING AND STORAGE PLATFORMS
The present disclosure relates to methods for creating and transmitting annotations to annotation servers. In addition, the rationale and utility for employing these methods is discussed in detail. The annotations can be created on web pages and pdf documents displayed within web browsers. These methods are required for advanced web browser functionality that allows sophisticated user interaction in a networked environment. These methods allow for a web browser to transmit annotation elements including highlighted text selections, annotation comments, uniform resource locators (URLs), document object model (DOM) contexts, screenshots with marked annotation highlighted text, and annotation symbols to an annotation server. The utility of the transmission of these elements to important higher level functionality and useful network based collaboration and discussion is explained.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GUIDED INFORMATION VIEWING AND STORAGE PLATFORMS
The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for organizing, viewing, and connecting annotations of web documents within web browsers. The rationale for connecting annotations is discussed in detail along with mechanisms to enhance asynchronous, guided viewing within web browsers. Furthermore, data structures and processes for constructing this functionality are discussed with the aid of use case and sequence diagrams as well as verbal descriptions. In addition, guidance is provided for hardware system specifications and architectures of the exemplary systems that are discussed.
GUIDED INFORMATION VIEWING AND STORAGE FEATURES WITHIN WEB BROWSERS
The present disclosure relates to non-transitory computer readable mediums(CRMs) for guided-viewing of annotations and the process or organizing and connecting annotations of web documents within web browsers. The rationale for creating and using such computer readable medium is discussed in detail within this disclosure. Throughout the course of this explanation, various steps are dissected and explained in detail in the context of exemplary embodiments to elaborate on the relevant data structures and the architectures, messaging patterns, and use cases that provide the context for these data structures.
Content presentation
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing content. One of the methods includes providing a plurality of image content items to an application interface of a client device for presentation; receiving a user selection of a particular image content item of the plurality of presented image content items; and responsive to the selection, providing a combination of native content and third party content associated with the selected image content item, wherein the native content includes a close up view of the selected image content item and the third party content includes a third party webpage.
Method for clustering at least two timestamped photographs
A method for clustering groups of photographs, wherein users are each identified by a unique identifier, each user photographs. The method includes capturing photographs; assigning, to each captured photograph, at least one metadata defined by a type, comparing the metadata assigned to each photograph to determine at least one discriminant type, grouping at least two photographs by discriminant type of metadata and clustering the groups if the number of photographs is superior to a first predefined limit value. The method further includes determining a degree of similarity of a cluster of photographs depending on metadata, and defining a common cluster among the users if the degree of similarity is superior to a second predefined limit value.
Techniques for identifying color profiles for textual queries
The disclosed techniques include at least one computer-implemented method performed by a system. The system can receive a textual query and process query features of the textual query to identify a color profile indicative of a color intent of the query. The system can identify candidate images that at least partially match the desired content and color intent of the query. The system can further order candidate images based in part on a similarity of a candidate color profile for each candidate image with the identified color profile of the query, and output image data indicative of the ordered set of candidate images.
Machine image launch system
A service provider network includes a database that has one or more “base” machine images and, for one or more of the base machine images, one or more predetermined “optimized” machine images. Each base and optimized machine image are stored in the database and selected based on certain user inputs to create a customer-desired virtual machine instance on a host computer. An optimized machine image is a version of a particular base machine image to which one or more optimizations have been applied. The database may contain complete optimized machine images or data bits that, when applied to a base machine image, result in the optimized machine image.
Method and system for mining image searches to associate images with concepts
A system and method for associating a document with a concept are provided. One or more idea-electronic document associations is identified, wherein each idea-electronic document association is based on a user performance criteria relative to the electronic document and the idea. At least one of the one or more electronic documents is identified with a concept based on the one or more idea-electronic document associations, wherein the concept is related to the one or more ideas.
Sensor based processing of data from a user for learning using artificial intelligence module
In an example, the present invention provides a meta data processing apparatus for processing sensor inputs and providing feedback to a user for an on-line course.
