Various methods are provided for determining and displaying local content. One example method may comprise receiving input, at an interface of a global positioning system (GPS) enabled mobile device, to open a mobile application, and without any additional input, accessing a location service of the GPS enabled mobile device to determine a GPS location and a current time and automatically generating a query, identifying local content from a content index in accordance with an editing target, and upon determination that the number of articles specified by the editing target has not been met, climbing, by an editing algorithm, a place hierarchy to determine a larger geographic area in which to meet the editing target, the larger geographic area containing the location, and displaying the results, via an interface, on the GPS enabled mobile device.

Various methods are provided for determining and displaying local content. Aspects of the current disclosure include systems and methods for identifying an entity in a query image by comparing the query image with digital images in a database. In one or more embodiments, a query feature may be extracted from the query image and a set of candidate features may be extracted from a set of images in the database. In one or more embodiments, the distances between the query feature and the candidate features are calculated. A feature, which includes a set of shortest distances among the calculated distances and a distribution of the set of shortest distances, may be generated. In one or more embodiments, the feature is input to a trained model to determine whether the entity in the query image is the same entity associated with one of the set of shortest distances.

Aspects of the current disclosure include systems and methods for identifying an entity in a query image by comparing the query image with digital images in a database. In one or more embodiments, a query feature may be extracted from the query image and a set of candidate features may be extracted from a set of images in the database. In one or more embodiments, the distances between the query feature and the candidate features are calculated. A feature, which includes a set of shortest distances among the calculated distances and a distribution of the set of shortest distances, may be generated. In one or more embodiments, the feature is input to a trained model to determine whether the entity in the query image is the same entity associated with one of the set of shortest distances.

A document search device includes a document search unit configured to search for an input keyword in a document database in which document information including text data is stored, the text data being extracted, by using a character recognition process, from document image data generated by imaging a paper document, a similar keyword selecting unit configured to select a similar keyword in accordance with a degree of similarity to the input keyword, from a group of wildcard strings generated from the input keyword, and cause the document search unit to search for the similar keyword in the document database, and an output unit configured to output a search result obtained by searching for the input keyword in the document database and a search result obtained by searching for the similar keyword in the document database.

The accessed virtual space is associated with the physical space. An example method performed by a processing system includes retrieving a digital model of a media element from a database storing a plurality of media elements, wherein the media element is to be inserted into a scene of an audiovisual media, rendering the media element in the scene of the audiovisual media, based on the digital model of the media element and on metadata associated with the digital model to produce a rendered media element, wherein the metadata describes a characteristic of the media element and a limit on the characteristic, and inserting the rendered media element into the scene of the audiovisual media.

An example method performed by a processing system includes retrieving a digital model of a media element from a database storing a plurality of media elements, wherein the media element is to be inserted into a scene of an audiovisual media, rendering the media element in the scene of the audiovisual media, based on the digital model of the media element and on metadata associated with the digital model to produce a rendered media element, wherein the metadata describes a characteristic of the media element and a limit on the characteristic, and inserting the rendered media element into the scene of the audiovisual media.

The present disclosure provides method and apparatus for generative image acquisition. A query can be received. A first set of images retrieved according to the query can be obtained. It is can be determined that the first set of images includes a first image that partially satisfies the query. A missing component of the first image compared to the query can be detected. A second set of images based on the first image and the missing component can be generated.
