Entity recognition from an image
Aspects of the current disclosure include systems and methods for identifying an entity in a query image by comparing the query image with digital images in a database. In one or more embodiments, a query feature may be extracted from the query image and a set of candidate features may be extracted from a set of images in the database. In one or more embodiments, the distances between the query feature and the candidate features are calculated. A feature, which includes a set of shortest distances among the calculated distances and a distribution of the set of shortest distances, may be generated. In one or more embodiments, the feature is input to a trained model to determine whether the entity in the query image is the same entity associated with one of the set of shortest distances.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FILE ARCHIVING
Systems and methods for file archiving. The systems may obtain an image file to be transmitted that includes image data in a first format and a metadata file in a second format. The metadata file may include identification information of the image data. The image data may be acquired from a scan of a subject using an imaging device. The systems may transmit, according to a first protocol, the image data in the first format to an image archiving system for archiving. The systems may also transmit, according to a second protocol, the metadata file in the second format to the image archiving system for archiving.

Personalized image recommendations for areas of interest
One example method involves operations for receiving a query that includes a keyword. The search query is associated with a user profile. Operations further include a recommendation matrix that includes a set of images based on (a) an area of interest determined from the search query and the user profile and (b) content tags associated with the images. In addition, operations include calculating a recommendation score for a candidate image included in the recommendation matrix. The recommendation score includes a weighted average of row vectors of the recommendation matrix. Further, operations involve including the candidate image in a search result for the search query based on the recommendation score. Additionally, operations include generating, for display, a search result that includes the candidate image.
TEXTUAL AND IMAGE BASED SEARCH
Described is a system and method for enabling visual search for information. With each selection of an object included in an image, additional images that include visually similar objects are determined and presented to the user.
IDENTIFICATION USING MOBILE DEVICE SIGNATURES AND CAMERAS
A mesh of existing infrastructures is usable to identify user identities and communications devices with physical objects (e.g., transportation vehicles, apparel, etc.). A system can receive image data representative of images of physical objects captured (e.g., by a camera) at locations. The system can also receive signal data representative of signals from communications devices. Based on time data and location data associated with the image data and the signal data, the system can, after multiple iterations, determine whether one of the physical objects is correlated with one of the communications devices. In response to a correlation, the system can store in a record data (e.g., a container, database, etc.) data elements representative of the physical object and a second data element associated with the communications device.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING IMAGES TO SUPPORT MULTIPLE RISK APPLICATIONS
In some embodiments, image input data is received from multiple sources. The received image input data may then be aggregated and mapped to create a set of image input data. An event in the set of image input data may be automatically detected, such as by being triggered by a rule and an associated tag. An image mining result database may be updated by adding an entry to the database identifying each detected event and the triggering rule. An indication associated with the image mining result database may then be transmitted to a plurality of risk applications.
WEB BROWSER EXTENSION FOR CREATING ANNOTATIONS REFERENCEABLE FROM EXTERNAL CONTEXTS
The present disclosure relates to a non-transitory computer readable medium for a separate context viewing, organization, and management area for annotations that have been created. The rationale for such computer readable medium is discussed in detail. These annotations can be created on webpages or PDF documents available at a uniform resource locator (URL) anywhere on the World Wide Web. Once these annotations are created, having a system to manage the life cycle of these annotations in various contexts separate from the original web page is beneficial. This annotation life cycle and the rationale for various steps within this life cycle is discussed in detail. The present disclosure also describes some pertinent filtering and display technologies for annotations that have been created.
