Knowledge-derived search suggestion
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for information retrieval. Embodiments of the disclosure provide a retrieval network that leverages external knowledge to provide reformulated search query suggestions, enabling more efficient network searching and information retrieval. For example, a search query from a user (e.g., a query mention of a knowledge graph entity that is included in a search query from a user) may be added to a knowledge graph as a surrogate entity via entity linking. Embedding techniques are then invoked on the updated knowledge graph (e.g., the knowledge graph that includes additional edges between surrogate entities and other entities of the original knowledge graph), and entities neighboring the surrogate entity are retrieved based on the embedding (e.g., based on a computed distance between the surrogate entity and candidate entities in the embedding space). Search results can then be ranked and displayed based on relevance to the neighboring entity.
Control method and recording medium
A method for controlling an information terminal causes a computer of the information terminal to receive, from a case retrieval system, a plurality of similar medical images having a feature quantity of a region of interest and a certain degree of similarity in accordance with the region of interest included in a target medical image, displays a display screen displaying the plurality of received similar medical images on a touch panel display, the display screen including a display region in which at least some of the plurality of received similar medical images are displayed, displays, if selection of a first similar medical image from among the at least some of the plurality of received similar medical images displayed in the display region is detected, the first similar medical image across the display region, and displays, if a swipe operation performed on the first similar medical image is detected, a second similar medical image, which has second highest similarity next to the first similar medical image among the plurality of similar medical images, in the display region such that a corresponding region of interest included in the second similar medical image is located at a certain position in the display region.
Toilet configured to distinguish excreta type
A system for distinguishing a type of excreta deposited in a toilet is disclosed. The system includes a toilet and a processor. The toilet has a bowl adapted to receive multiple types of excreta from a user and a sensor which monitors the volume of excreta deposited in the toilet. The processor compares excreta volume data derived from the sensor to a database comprising excreta-type volume data and associates a time segment from the excreta volume data as representing an excreta-type. This system can provide data which may be used to determine the rate of excreta deposit into the toilet and associated those rates with excreta events types such as urination or defecation.

Control method of information terminal and computer-readable recording medium
A control method of an information terminal causes a display to display a display screen which includes a first display region and a second display region. The first display region displays an object medical image. The second display region displays M number of similar medical images and includes ND number of individual regions for displaying the M number of the similar medical images. When an instruction from one or more instruction buttons is detected, a display size of each corresponding region of interest that is included in the second number of the similar medical images is changed while maintaining a size of each of the individual regions in the second display region, and each of the similar medical images is magnified at a magnification ratio of a reference thumbnail.
Retrieval device, retrieval method, and computer program product
A retrieval device includes one or more processors. The processors acquire trajectory information indicating a movement trajectory of a target in time-series images. The processors acquire situation information indicating a peripheral situation of the target in the time-series images. The processors acquire a retrieval query containing a movement trajectory and a peripheral situation. The processors retrieve an image matching with the retrieval query among images contained in the time-series images based on the trajectory information and the situation information.
Personalized dynamic content via content tagging and transfer learning
Systems and methods are described for serving personalized content using content tagging and transfer learning. The method may include identifying content elements in an experience pool, where each of the content element is associated with one or more attribute tags, identifying a user profile comprising characteristics of a user, generating a set of user-tag affinity vectors based on the user profile and the corresponding attribute tags using a content personalization engine, generating a user-content affinity score based on the set of user-tag affinity vectors, selecting a content element from the plurality of content elements based on the corresponding user-content affinity score, and delivering the selected content element to the user.
Systems and methods for creating a physical memento with digital tracking
Systems and methods for creating a physical memento with digital tracking are provided herein. In one example, a system may comprise receiving, at one or more processors, a personal message; transmitting, at the one or more processors via a network interface device coupled to the one or more processors, a secure message based on the personal message to a distributed ledger network, wherein the secure message is recorded in the distributed ledger network and the secure message comprises a timestamp associated with the message; and engraving, via one or more engraving tools, a physical item with information relevant to the message.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR USING GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION TO DIRECT VIDEO
A method is provided, comprising: receiving at a camera system comprising a plurality of video cameras, a search request from a mobile device, the search request comprising a geographic location of the mobile device and a time range; identifying one or more video cameras of the plurality of video cameras having a field of view including the geographic location; and transmitting search results from the one or more video cameras of the plurality of video cameras to the mobile device, the search results comprising at least an image from a video recorded by the one or more video cameras of the plurality of video cameras during the time range.
IMAGE RECOGNITION BASED CONTENT ITEM SELECTION
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for content presentation. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a request for a content item to be presented to a user; for a collection of content items, identifying one or more candidate content items including using image keywords derived from images associated with the user to identify the one or more candidate content items; selecting a content item responsive to the content request from the candidate content items; and sending the selected content item for presentation to the user.
