A content arranging method and apparatus in a media equipment and recording medium that stores a program source associated with the method are provided. The content arranging method includes extracting time information associated with stored contents from meta data of each of the stored contents, classifying the stored contents based on the extracted time information and a time interval for arranging the stored contents, determining at least one time item corresponding to the time interval, and arranging each of the classified contents under a corresponding time item. The method arranges the stored contents in the media equipment based on a time so that a user readily retrieves a desired content.

SELECTING CONTENT OBJECTS FOR RECOMMENDATION BASED ON CONTENT OBJECT COLLECTIONS

Each image of a plurality of user-defined collections of images has properties associated therewith. A seed image is defined as currently viewed or selected image and the properties associated with the seed image are retrieved. The seed image is used to identify seed collections as the collections of images which have the seed image as one of their images. A plurality of candidate images are identified from the seed collections. For each candidate image, a significance score is determined as a function of either the number of seed collections to which the candidate image belongs or the ratio of the number of seed collections to the set of all collections to which the candidate image belongs. Each candidate image is ranked based on the significance scores and the seed image properties. At least one candidate image is recommended to the user based on the ranking of the candidate images.

Object ingestion through canonical shapes, systems and methods

An object recognition ingestion system is presented. The object ingestion system captures image data of objects, possibly in an uncontrolled setting. The image data is analyzed to determine if one or more a priori know canonical shape objects match the object represented in the image data. The canonical shape object also includes one or more reference PoVs indicating perspectives from which to analyze objects having the corresponding shape. An object ingestion engine combines the canonical shape object along with the image data to create a model of the object. The engine generates a desirable set of model PoVs from the reference PoVs, and then generates recognition descriptors from each of the model PoVs. The descriptors, image data, model PoVs, or other contextually relevant information are combined into key frame bundles having sufficient information to allow other computing devices to recognize the object at a later time.

In embodiments, a method includes acquiring first information corresponding to a physical object; identifying first authentication data based on the first information; storing the first authentication data in a database system; subsequent to storing the first authentication data, acquiring second information corresponding to a target physical object and identifying second authentication data based on the second information; identifying third information corresponding to the target physical object; querying the database system to seek a matching record based on the second authentication data; in the case that a matching record is returned responsive to the querying, updating the matching record with an indication that the second authentication data was matched to it and updating history data of said matching record based on said third information.
