Method and system for calibration of UV light sources
Methods and systems are provided for calibrating a UV lamp having a plurality of arrays or channels of light emitting diodes. The calibration involves adjusting a drive current applied to the UV lamp based on an actual irradiance output by its light-emitting diodes relative to a target irradiance. The calibration is selectively performed when a stabilized temperature condition of the lamp is met.
Offset nulling for optical power meters
There is provided an optical power measurement method, an offset calibration method and an optical power meter that is adapted to apply the offset calibration method. The optical power measurement method, the offset calibration method and the optical power meter are characterized in that two temperature sensors are used for more accurate predictions of the optical power offset. A first temperature sensor is positioned to read a temperature of the photodiode and a second temperature sensor is positioned to read a temperature of the PCB ground plane.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DARK CURRENT COMPENSATION IN SINGLE PHOTON AVALANCHE DIODE IMAGERY
A system for dark current compensation in SPAD imagery is configurable to capture an image frame with the SPAD array and generate a temporally filtered image by performing a temporal filtering operation using the image frame and at least one preceding image frame. The at least one preceding image frame is captured by the SPAD array at a timepoint that temporally precedes a timepoint associated with the image frame. The system is also configurable to obtain a dark current image frame. The dark current image frame includes data indicating one or more SPAD pixels of the plurality of SPAD pixels that detect an avalanche event without detecting a corresponding photon. The system is also configurable to generate a dark current compensated image by performing a subtraction operation on the temporally filtered image or the image frame based on the dark current image frame.
Optical sensing circuit, optical sensing circuit array, and method for determining light color by using the same
An optical sensing circuit including a capacitor, a light sensing unit, a compensation unit, and a switching element is provided. The light sensing unit, the compensation unit, and the switching element are electrically connected to the capacitor. The light sensing unit senses the light of a first color. The compensation unit senses the light of a second color complementary to the first color. When a light illuminates the light sensing unit and the compensation unit, a first light component of the light corresponding to the first color causes the light sensing unit to generate a first current, and a second light component of the light corresponding to the second color causes the compensation unit to generate a second current, which reduces the amount of the charging or the discharging current when the first current charges or discharges the capacitor whose voltage is read as information for determining light color.
PHOTOELECTRIC SENSOR AND THRESHOLD SETTING METHOD
Provided are a photoelectric sensor and a threshold setting method. The photoelectric sensor is a photoelectric sensor detecting an object and includes a light reception part, an object determination part, and a setting part. The light reception part receives light to obtain a light reception amount. The object determination part determines presence/absence of the object based on the light reception amount and a threshold. The setting part sets the threshold based on the light reception amount during a period in which it has been determined that the object is present and the light reception amount during a period in which it has been determined that the object is absent.
