Apparatuses and methods for registering a real-time image feed from an imaging device to a steerable catheter

A method of registering a real-time image feed from an imaging device inserted into a steerable catheter using a navigation system is provided. The method includes inserting the imaging device into a working channel of the steerable catheter and generating a real-time image feed of one or more reference points, wherein the orientation of the reference points is known. The method further includes orienting a handle of the steerable catheter to a neutral position, displaying the real-time image feed on a display of the navigation system, and registering the real-time image feed to the steerable catheter by rotating the displayed image so that the reference points in the real-time image feed are matched to the known orientation of the reference points.

Disclosed is a measurement apparatus for measuring biometric information of a pet. The measurement apparatus comprises: a vital sensor configured to measure a vital sign of the pet and generate vital data indicating the vital sign; a motion sensor configured to measure movement of the pet and generate movement data indicating the movement; a memory configured to store the vital data and the movement data; a communication circuit configured to transmit the vital data and the movement data to an external apparatus; and a controller configured to control the measurement apparatus, wherein the controller controls an operation mode of the vital sensor to be any one of an active mode and an inactive mode, on the basis of the movement data measured by the motion sensor, and the vital sensor does not generate the vital data in the inactive mode.

WEARABLE MECHANO-ACOUSTIC SENSOR
20230218177 · 2023-07-13 ·

A wearable mechano-acoustic sensor for continuous cardiorespiratory monitoring, and methods of making and using the same. The sensor includes a diaphragm with a chamber and a channel connected to the chamber, a plurality of electrodes including at least an anode and a cathode extending into the channel, and a liquid electrolyte solution that fills the chamber and channel. When the diaphragm is attached to a user's chest, mechano-acoustic movement from the chest cause the diaphragm to move, pushing the electrolyte solution across the electrodes. A voltage is applied to the anode and an electrochemical current is determined by the flux from the anode to the cathode by the modulation of the electrolyte solution across the electrodes and cardiorespiratory signals are measured from the electrochemical currents.

Systems and methods for image data acquisition

The present disclosure provides a system and method for image data acquisition. The method may include acquiring physiological data of a subject. The physiological data may correspond to a motion of the subject over time. The method may include obtaining a trained machine learning model configured to detect feature data represented in the physiological data. The method may include determining, based on the physiological data, an output result of the trained machine learning model that is generated based on the feature data. The method may include acquiring, based on the output result, image data of the subject using an imaging device.

Monitoring, predicting, and treating clinical episodes

Apparatus and methods are described including identifying that a subject suffers from sleep apnea. Positive airway pressure (PAP) is applied to the subject via a mask placed on a face of the subject. A respiratory-related parameter of the subject is sensed, while the mask is on the face of the subject, and a need of the subject for respiratory support is assessed, responsively to the respiratory-related parameter. In accordance with the assessed need, the mask is configured to regulate the PAP provided to the subject's face. Other applications are also described.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SCREENING, DIAGNOSIS AND MONITORING SLEEP-DISORDERED BREATHING
20230210452 · 2023-07-06 · ·

A method and system are disclosed for use in monitoring/screening/diagnosing sleep or wake state of a subject or patient. The method generally includes monitoring the patient's activity during one or more sleep sessions comprising a plurality of intervals known as epochs. The sleep/wake state of the subject is determined during each epoch of the session using actigraphy data obtained during the monitoring session. The actigraphy data provides information about the activity of a patient during an epoch. The sleep or wake state is determined based on a ratio of the activity count during an epoch to the activity count during a preceding epoch. If the ratio is greater than a first activity threshold, then a “wake” indication may be provided by, for example, the system. Alternatively, or additionally, a “wake” indication may be determined if the activity count during the epoch is greater than a threshold.
