CONVEYING DEVICE
A conveying device is provided for an upwardly oriented, in particular vertical, conveyance of turnips or other root crops in harvesting machines. A conveyor belt with at least two lateral conveyor belt portions is moved in a conveying direction during operation. Between the conveyor belt portions is defined a particularly planar conveyor belt surface, and at least one carrier unit which projects from the conveyor belt surface and is supported by the conveyor belt. The carrier unit delimits a receiving space extending on both sides of the conveyor belt surface. The part of the receiving space which is arranged on the side of the conveyor belt surface which is opposite the carrier unit is formed by at least one detachably fastened pocket module and harvesting machines for turnips or other root crops having a conveying device.

HARVESTING MACHINE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD THEREOF
Embodiments of a harvesting machine configured to uproot hemp plants and process various cut portions of the plants. The harvesting machine includes a harvesting head removably coupled to a main body of the harvesting machine. The harvesting head includes a roller positioned adjacent a lower front end of the harvesting head, the roller having tines extending therefrom and the roller configured to rotate so that the tines loosen soil and lift roots of the plants from the soil. The harvesting machine includes at least one belt positioned adjacently rearward of the roller and is configured to move the uprooted plants from the tines and to move the uprooted plants rearward from the harvesting head. Further, the harvesting head includes a cutting system positioned adjacent the at least one belt and is configured to make at least two cuts along a length of the plant to form the cut portions.

Pick-up web for an agricultural machine, in particular, a nut harvester
A pick-up web for an agricultural machine, in particular, for picking up and transporting nut fruit in a nut harvester along a conveyor device. The pick-up web comprising at least two endless circulating belts for driving the pick-up web and several rods extending perpendicular to the direction of transport of the pick-up web creating a sieve-type transport surface. The pick-up web further comprising several tappets and sweeping teeth each projecting perpendicularly away from the sieve-type transport surface.
Slat-bar cross-members in a feederhouse crop-conveying system
A feederhouse conveyor system for an agricultural harvesting machine is provided. The feederhouse conveyor system includes a power transmitting system. The power transmitting system includes first rollers, second rollers, and power transmitting bands. The power transmitting bands are configured to each transmit power between each of the first rollers and the second rollers. The feederhouse conveyor system also includes rigid cross members, configured to each attach near each end to at least one of the power transmitting bands, and flexible cross members configured to each attach near each end to at least one of the power transmitting bands. The centerlines which extend through the rigid cross members and the flexible cross members are parallel. The mat attaches to the flexible cross members by a pocket in the mat through which the flexible cross members extend.
UNIVERSAL BELTED CHAIN
Universal belted chain including a first belt, a second belt, a first rod, a first fastener and a second fastener. The first belt has a first upper surface and a first lower surface. The first lower surface has a first channel formed therein. The second belt has a second upper surface and a second lower surface. The second lower surface has a second channel formed therein. The first fastener attaches the first rod to the first upper surface by extending the first fastener through the first belt. An end of the first fastener opposite the first rod is recessed in the first channel with respect to the first lower surface. The second fastener attaches the first rod to the second upper surface by extending the second fastener through the second belt. An end of the second fastener opposite the first rod is recessed in the second channel with respect to the second lower surface.
Ring elevator for lifting root crops in a root crop harvester and root crop harvester comprising such a ring elevator
Disclosed herein is a ring elevator for lifting root crops in a root crop harvester, including a first and a second pair of endless carrying strips, each pair arranged in parallel and drivable over a closed path; first and second parallel transverse elements attached between and to, respectively, the first and second strips; flexible support elements, each attached to a first transverse element and to a second transverse element. The first strips can be arranged around the second strips at a distance which varies along the paths between a minimum distance (d.sub.min) and a maximum distance (d.sub.max), and in an ascending part equals a carrier distance (c), such that the flexible support elements form baskets for receiving the root crops. The useful volume (V.sub.u) in the baskets takes up at least 50% of the total volume (V.sub.t) delimited by the transverse elements.

Rod belt for rod belt conveyors of agricultural machines
The present invention relates to a rod belt for rod belt conveyors of agricultural machines comprising rods (5) arranged transverse to the direction of transport and parallel to each other, the rods (5) comprising flattened and perforated attachment areas (5.1) by means of which they lie in contact with elastic belts (2) of high tensile strength revolving parallel to each other and being connected to the belts (2) via rivets or similar attachment means penetrating the attachment area (5.1) and the belt (2), both ends (9) of which belt constituting a joint (8). It is the object of the invention to provide a rod belt of this type having an endless connection of high stability while, at the same time, being easy to disassemble and mount. This task is solved according to the invention in that an auxiliary belt section (7) each is arranged laterally adjacent to the belts (2), the auxiliary belt section bridges the joint (8) between the belt ends (9) whereby the belts (2) and the auxiliary belt sections (7) are interlocked by means of the rods (5).
