Dental implant positioning
Methods, devices, systems, and series of appliances are provided for dental implant positioning. One method for positioning an implant with dental treatment includes determining an implant location based on a virtual model of an optimized dental occlusion, moving one or more teeth using a first number of a series of dental appliances, from a first orientation to a second orientation, the second orientation exposing the implant location, placing an implant at the exposed implant location using a landmark included in at least one of the series of dental appliances, repositioning one or more teeth using a second number of the series of dental appliances, from the second orientation to a successive orientation.
Bone foundation guide system and method
A bone foundation guide system has a bone foundation guide including a body that is contoured to reversibly affix to a bone segment of a dental implant surgical site. The body is further contoured to guide the cutting of a portion of the bone segment from a dental implant surgical site and alternatively support a dental implant surgical guide. The body is further contoured to support a bone foundation guide prosthesis as an alternative to the dental implant surgical guide. The bone foundation guide prosthesis combines with the body to accommodate the bone segment portion as placed through the body prior to the bone segment portion being removed from the dental implant site through the use of the body.
SURGICAL GUIDE CHECK
A method and a device for the simplified inspection of the compatibility of the positions of master tubes in a surgical guides with respect to the positions in a predetermined plan in a computer model. For example, during virtual planning, the virtual surgical guide includes master tubes having an axis that is the axis (e.g., an installation axis) along which a dental implant will be installed. The virtual surgical guide can be manufactured, e.g., by substrative methods and additive methods. As discussed herein, the accuracy of the physical surgical guide can be checked physically or virtually.
Bone foundation guide system and method
A bone foundation guide system having a bone foundation guide with a foundation guide body forming an open surgical space connecting a top of the bone foundation guide body with a bottom of the bone foundation guide body, the bottom contoured to removably affix the bone foundation guide body to the bone of a dental implant surgical site, the body further contoured to guide the cutting of bone from a dental implant surgical site and supporting a dental implant surgical guide; the dental implant surgical guide contoured to removably mate to the bone foundation guide body; wherein a combination of the bone foundation guide and the dental implant surgical guide forms a double open-ended placement channel that passes through a plurality of guiding cylinders held in tandem alignment to aid in the placement of a dental implant that is anchored in a site remote from the mouth.
Dental ridge augmentation matrix with integrated dental implant surgical drill guide system
The subject matter of the instant invention relates to a dental implant surgical apparatus and system comprising a customized dental ridge augmentation matrix and one or, optionally, a plurality of dental implant surgical drill guides, and methods of use thereof.
Drilling jig and method for the production thereof
A drilling jig for drilling a drill hole into a jaw of a patient for a medical tooth implant. The drilling jig includes a prosthesis adapted to at least one of teeth and the jaw of the patient and a drilling model. The prosthesis has a bipartite design and includes an individualized part adapted to the teeth, and a standardized plate part with at least two reference markers suitable to provide reference points in digital images of the prosthesis and a first coupling part which couples the drilling model to the prosthesis. The drilling model is a standardized part which includes a drill channel adapted to the medical tooth implant, and a second coupling part adaptable to the prosthesis so that the prosthesis and the drilling model are connectable with each other through the first and second coupling parts.
Method of establishing upper boundary for dental prosthetic
A method is used to provide a dental prosthetic with an upper boundary that cannot be seen when a patient smiles with the dental prosthetic installed. The method includes tracing a smile line on a dental appliance while the dental appliance is in the patient's mouth and while the patient is smiling. The method then includes transferring that smile line from the dental appliance to a study cast of the patient's mouth. The study cast is then scanned to create a three-dimensional digital model that includes the transferred smile line. The three-dimensional digital model is used to generate a surgical plan and surgical hardware for installation of the dental prosthetic. The dental prosthetic may include a full arch restoration.
Surgical drill guide aimed at locating ideal position for dental implants in edentulous patients
This document describes a set of surgical drill guides for the upper and lower jaw, the guides aimed at locating the ideal position for dental implants in edentulous patients. The guides are made up of a surgical stent material from metal or other rigid material that is aligned to provide support and stability of fully edentulous upper and lower jaw to orient surgical drills in the area of operation. The present embodiment comprises a U-shape metal plate provided form or shaped resembling a toothless upper or lower jaw and containing a top surface of the surgical stent that is contacting the soft tissue of maxilla or mandibula and the bottom surface of the stent that has the same shape as a top one.
Centering device for inserting of a dental implant
The present invention relates to a centering and guiding device (1) for a dental drill which comprises a body (10) including a guiding hole (15) for a dental drill and two arms (20, 30) pivotally coupled to the body (10). Each arm includes a respective free end (22, 32). Said arms (20,30) are capable of pivoting between a first open position, in which said respective free ends (22, 32) are mutually spaced apart to promote the movement of the device (1) from and towards an operating surface, and a second closed position, in which the free ends (22, 32) are approached to each other to match an operating surface. The device according to the invention also comprises an elastic element (40) to push the arms (20, 30) towards the closed position. According to the invention, each of said arms (20, 30) comprises a cylindrical end (27, 37), opposite to the corresponding free end (22, 32), accommodated in a corresponding seat (10A) defined by the body (10). Moreover, the cylindrical ends (27, 37) of said arms (20, 30) comprise respective toothed sectors (25, 35) mutually meshing each other to guide the rotation of said arms (20, 30) between said closed and open positions.
Dental bone foundation guide with palatal or lingual side gap and freehand surgical guide
A first guide member includes a horizontal body portion and a pair of upright portions. The horizontal body portion has an arcuate configuration and includes a first horizontal surface, a front surface, a rear surface, and a second horizontal surface. The first horizontal surface is flat. The first upright body portion includes a first inwardly extending portion. A first engagement surface of the first inwardly extending portion is configured to rest on a ridge of the alveolar arch of the patient. The second upright body portion includes a second inwardly extending portion. A second engagement surface of the second inwardly extending portion is configured to rest on a ridge of the alveolar arch of the patient. The first guide member lacks a component configured to extend along a lingual or palatal side of the alveolar arch of the patient.
