Metal-doped epoxy resin transaction card and process for manufacture
A transaction card, and processes for the manufacture thereof, having a core layer, optionally, one or more layers or coatings over the core layer, and at least one of a magnetic stripe, a machine readable code, and a payment module chip disposed in or on the card and suitable for rendering the card operable for conducting a transaction. The core layer comprises a metal-doped cured epoxy comprised of metal particles distributed in a binder consisting essentially of a cured, polymerized epoxy resin, the core comprising greater than 50%, preferably greater than 75%, and more preferably greater than 90%, of the weight and/or volume of the card. In some embodiments, the core includes a metal insert enveloped with the metal-doped curable epoxy, wherein the periphery of the epoxy extends beyond the periphery of the metal insert and has material properties more conducive to cutting or punching than the metal insert.
COMPACT TRANSACTION CARD
Provided are compact transaction cards. In some approaches, a transaction card may include a body having first and second main sides, a first and second end perimeter perimeters, and first and second side perimeters, wherein a first axis extending between the first and second side perimeters defines a first section of the body and a second section of the body. The card may further include an identification chip along the first main side and a magnetic stripe along the second main side, wherein the magnetic stripe extends between the first and second side perimeters, and wherein the magnetic stripe and the identification chip are located on the first section of the body. The card may further include a textured grip along at least one of the first main side and the second main side, wherein the textured grip is positioned only on the second section of the body.
Modular transaction card
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device, system, methods and components related to a modular card. Example components of the modular card include a thin rectangular rear plate, a thin rectangular front plate overlying the rear plate, a first plurality of fasteners fixed to the thin rectangular front plate, a second plurality of fasteners fixed to the thin rectangular rear plate, the second plurality of fasteners being configured to be removably engaged with the first plurality of fasteners; a magnetic strip, and/or an integrated circuit. In operation a user may remove and/or replace various components to customize the modular card. Some customizations include altering the accounts to which the modular card relates. In some example, the modular card may include components which relate to different accounts.
LABORATORY INSTRUMENT
The invention relates to a laboratory device, in particular to a peristaltic pump, having an accessory part, in particular a pump head, that is removably arranged at the laboratory device; and having an apparatus for an automatic recognition of the accessory part from a plurality of accessory parts, in particular mutually different pump heads, removably arrangeable at the laboratory device, wherein the recognition apparatus has a coding at the accessory side and a detection unit for detecting the coding at the laboratory device side.
Systems and methods for providing a transaction card package assembly including sample product or service
A transaction card package assembly comprising at least one transaction card, at least one sample product, and a card holder, and methods and system for processing the same.
COMPACT TRANSACTION CARD WITH FOLDABLE MAGNETIC STRIPE
Provided are compact transaction cards. In some approaches, a body of the card includes first and second sections rotatably coupled together, wherein the first and second sections define a first main side opposite a second main side, an insertion end perimeter opposite a second end perimeter, and a first side perimeter opposite a second side perimeter. The body may include a chip along the first main side, the chip being located on the first section of the body. A magnetic stripe may be provided along the second main side of the body, wherein the magnetic stripe is located on the second section, wherein the magnetic stripe extends parallel to the insertion end perimeter when the first and second sections are in a first configuration, and wherein the magnetic stripe extends perpendicular to the insertion end perimeter when the first and second sections are in a second configuration.
Transmission/Reception Sensor System, Multi-Function Card, and Wearable Device
Provided are a multi-function card that has a non-contact IC card function, a magnetic stripe card function, and a function of generating a magnetic card signal and an NFC signal, a Bluetooth function capable of transmitting a signal to devices such as smartphones, includes a metallic frame, and is robust against bending or breakage, a transmission/reception sensor system used for the multi-function card or the like, and a wearable device, and the transmission/reception sensor system includes a magnetic sensor 10 including a coil 2 wound around a magnetic sensor core 1, an NFC coil 12 formed in a planar shape, and a metallic frame 13a of a loop shape which is installed along the NFC coil 12 and includes one or more cut portions.
MULTI-PROTOCOL SMART CARD PROGRAMMING
A method and system for programming a smart card using multiple programming protocols in a single card programming station. The card can include at least two programmable chips, with each chip being programmed using a different programming protocol. Alternatively, the card can include a single programmable chip, and the chip is programmed using at least two programming protocols. The card can also include at least two programmable chips, with each chip being programmed using at least two programming protocols.
Transaction Card Assembly
A modular transaction card assembly includes a card frame having the traditional dimensions of a credit card, and a transaction card that is smaller than a traditional card and that fits into a receptacle of the card frame. Each of the card frame and the transaction card may be capable of performing contactless data transactions individually. The combined assembly of the card frame with the transaction card secured in the receptacle is also capable of performing contact data transactions, and in some instances, with an identifier that is distinct from the card frame or the transaction card alone. The card frame may include a processor enabling it to perform data encryption and authentication of the smaller transaction card.
Transaction Card Assembly
A modular transaction card assembly includes a card frame having the traditional dimensions of a credit card, and a transaction card that is smaller than a traditional card and that fits into a receptacle of the card frame. The card frame may include a window in which contact pads of the transaction card are positioned and flush with the surface of the card frame when the transaction card is secured in the receptacle. The card frame and transaction card assembled together may form a uniform assembly that appears and functions as a traditional transaction card (e.g., credit card).
