WEAR TIME AS METRIC FOR BUYING INTENT

Example embodiments of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for providing a recommendation based on a level of buying intent of an individual. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include monitoring an amount of time an individual wears a particular item while in a fitting room of a retail store, and determining an interest level of the individual in purchasing the item based on the amount of time the individual wears the item. The method may further include generating and providing a recommendation for an additional based on the determined level of intent.

Replacing imagery of garments in an existing apparel collection with laser-finished garments

A system allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. The system swaps garments in a digital asset to garments that are designed using the system. The wear pattern is created by a laser using a laser input file. Generating the preview image comprises combining first and second contributions to obtain a combined value for a pixel at the pixel location of the preview image.

A mobile computer system accesses a data base of products. On the display screen of the mobile computer system, a central image of a product is presented in a central position of the display. A first image of another product is presented on the display to a first side of central position of the display. A second image of another product is presented on the display on the second side of central position of the display. The second side of the display is opposite the first side with respect to the central position. Information is acquired with respect to the user and with respect to the product being presented in the central position.

Driverless Vehicle Movement Processing and Cloud Systems

A system for navigating a vehicle automatically from a current location to a destination location without a human operator is provided. The system of the vehicle includes a global positioning system (GPS) for identifying a vehicle location and a communications system for communicating with a server of a cloud system. The server is configured to identify that the vehicle location is near or at a parking location. The communications system is configured to receive mapping data for the parking location from the server, and the mapping data is at least in part used to find a path at the parking location to avoid a collision of the vehicle with at least one physical object when the vehicle is automatically moved at the parking location. The mapping data is processed by electronics of the vehicle so that when the vehicle is automatically moved collision with the at least one physical object is avoided and the electronics of the vehicle is configured to process a combination of sensor data obtained by sensors of the vehicle. The processing of the sensor data uses image data obtained from one or more cameras and light data obtained from one or more optical sensors.

Three-dimensional preview of laser-finished apparel

A system allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. The user's preview may be based upon a two-dimensional image of a wear pattern in a laser input file and, from a set of two-dimensional images of a base garment, create a three-dimensional view of the base garment with the wear pattern.

IMAGERY AND ANNOTATIONS

A decade from now, a visit to the supermarket will be a very different experience than the familiar experiences of decades past. Product packaging will come alive with interactivity—each object a portal into a rich tapestry of experiences, with contributions authored by the product brand, by the store selling the product, and by other shoppers. The present technology concerns arrangements for authoring and delivering such experiences. A great variety of other features and technologies are also detailed.

ONLINE SHOPPING MALL SYSTEM USING AUTOMATED PROCESSING OF CONTENT CATEGORIES AND MAPS

The present invention relates to an online shopping mall system using automated processing of content categories and maps. For example, disclosed is an online shopping mall system using automated processing of content categories and maps, the online shopping mall system comprising: a map database unit in which map data for at least one country is stored; a map marker generation unit in which location information, product sales information, seller information, and sales product category information for an offline store are registered, and which classifies the product sales information into categories on the basis of the sales product category information, and generates a plurality of markers for providing the product sales information and the seller information on a map provided through the map database unit on the basis of the location information; a product information provision unit which, when a specific product category is input as a search keyword, provides, on the map, product sales information and seller information corresponding to the input product category, and when a specific marker is selected from among the plurality of markers, provides, on the map, product sales information and seller information corresponding to the selected marker through a pop-up window; and a product payment processing unit which processes payment according to a product purchase request through the pop-up window.

COMPUTER-BASED METHOD ALLOWING USER TRANSACTIONS IN AN AUGMENTED SPACE

A computer-based method that allows users to conduct transactions and interact with environments and objects in an augmented space using any generic electronic device with a display and user input. The environment can be virtually rendered or 360° image or video pre-captured and allows the user to move around within it. Products, information, navigational or communication hotspots can be accessed by the user via the electronic device. Objects such as products are displayed as a 360° image and is user-interactable. There is an option for a physical kiosk located within a retail space that allows for offline (non Internet) use.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS TO FACILITATE PASSIVE RELOCALIZATION USING THREE-DIMENSIONAL MAPS

A method includes accessing map data of an area of a real environment, the map data comprising three-dimensional feature descriptors describing features visible in the real environment. A plurality of map packages are generated based on the map data, wherein each of the map packages (1) corresponds to a two-dimensional sub-area within the area of the real environment, and (2) comprises a subset of the three-dimensional feature descriptors describing features visible in the sub-area. A first sequence of the plurality of map packages are broadcast through one or more base stations, wherein the first sequence is based on the two-dimensional sub-area of each of the map packages, wherein each of the map packages is configured to be received and used by an artificial-reality device to determine a pose of the artificial-reality device in the associated sub-area based on the associated subset of the three-dimensional feature descriptors.
