Systems that search databases of videos or images to identify similar products in a given video or image of a product are disclosed. The content of the given video is represented by a feature vector used to measure the given video's similarity to either a video or an image. When the system is deployed to recognize particular fashion items in videos, some such videos are taken in uncontrolled settings, and as a result, may have low resolution, poor contrast, minimal focus, motion blur, or low lighting. By recognizing and removing poor quality video frames from the image recognition pipeline, associating products across video frames to form tracklets of each product, and enriching the feature representation of each item for best retrieval result by fusing information from multiple video frames depicting the item, the system addresses the aforementioned shortcomings.

In some examples, a service computing device receives an indication that a buyer associated with a buyer profile has selected a first item to purchase from a first merchant site. The service computing device associates information related to the first item with a persistent virtual cart associated with the buyer profile. The service computing device receives an indication that the buyer has selected a second item to purchase from the second merchant site. The service computing device associates information related to the second item with the buyer profile. The service computing device receives, from a buyer device, an indication of intention to purchase the items in the persistent virtual cart. Consequently, the service computing device may send an order for the first item to a computing device associated with the first merchant and an order for the second item to a computing device associated with the second merchant.

A system is provided for use in managing waste services performed by a service vehicle. The system may include a sensor configured to capture during completion of a waste service activity an image of waste set out for retrieval by the service vehicle, a portal, and a processor in communication with the sensor and the portal. The processor may be configured to execute instructions stored in memory to receive from a consumer via the portal at least one of a picture and a description of a desired item, to recognize an object in the image captured by the sensor, to make a determination regarding matching of the object with the desired item, and to selectively cause a notification to be displayed on the portal based on the determination.

Purchasers can also use a smartphone mobile application to superimpose products onto a photo of their vehicle on a smartphone display screen or view images in combination with a smartphone projector or virtual reality headset 3D viewer and their smartphone to get a complete 3D view of the product choices that the user can make for their vehicle.

Methods and systems for securely transferring and merging an electronic shopping cart curated by an affiliate online service for purchase on a retailer online service is disclosed. The retailer online service provides an anonymous token to the affiliate online service that allows the affiliate online service to curate an anonymous electronic shopping cart for a user that does not include any identifying information that links the user to a guest account of the retailer online service. When the user is redirected from the affiliate online service to the retailer online service, the anonymous token is validated. Upon validation of the anonymous token, the retailer online service obtains identifying information linking the user to the guest account of the retailer online service and obtain a pre-existing electronic shopping cart linked to the guest account. The retailer online service then merges the anonymous electronic shopping cart with the pre-existing electronic shopping cart.

Disclosed is an electronic device for processing a touch input. The electronic device may comprise: a touch screen; a biometric sensor disposed overlappingly at a position of at least a part of the touch screen; and a processor for acquiring biometric information of a user from an input relating to an object displayed through the touch screen, by using the biometric sensor, receiving a payment command associated with a payment function for the object, and performing the payment function for a product corresponding to the object by using the biometric information according to the payment command. Methods and systems are provided. One method includes processing operations to share electronic keys (e-keys). The method includes receiving a request to share an electronic key (e-key) of a vehicle with a recipient device. The request to share the e-key is initiated by sending a message to the recipient device using a sharing device. The method includes processing the request to validate the request to share the e-key, as received from the sharing device having associated therewith a registered owner e-key. Processing the request includes generating the e-key securely by the sharing device and registering the e-key that was generated with a server associated with a manufacturer of the vehicle. The method includes enabling the e-key for use on the vehicle by the recipient device responsive to said processing of the request. The request to share the e-key includes enabling a setting to apply a privilege level for use of the vehicle via the e-key. The privilege level provides one or more conditions of use of the vehicle via the e-key.
