AROUND VIEW PROVISION APPARATUS AND VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are an around view provision apparatus and a vehicle including the same. The around view provision apparatus includes a plurality of cameras mounted on a vehicle, a display, and a processor configured to receive a plurality of images from the plurality of cameras, to check locations of the images using first area patterns in the plurality of images, to compensate a parameter in an image using second area patterns located in overlapping areas between the plurality of images, and to generate an around view image based on the compensated parameter. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an accurate around view image based on a calibrated image.

An accurate subject distance can be calculated on the basis of a camera captured image even in a case where the attachment angle of a camera is deviated. An image captured with a camera having a wide-angle lens is input to perform distortion correction and generate a corrected image. Moreover, the inclination of a vertical object in the real world in the corrected image is calculated. The deviation angle of the camera depression angle of the camera is calculated on the basis of the inclination of the vertical object. An object distance calculation image is generated in consideration of the camera depression angle deviation angle. The distance of an object included in the camera captured image is calculated from the object distance calculation image. In a case where the camera depression angle deviation angle is not equal to or less than a prespecified threshold, the object distance calculation image is generated by using overhead image generation mapping data in consideration of the camera depression angle deviation.

An image processing apparatus includes: an image processor which: receives a captured-image from an image acquisition part acquiring the captured-image from a camera that captures an image of a vicinity of a vehicle; project data of the captured-image onto a virtual projection plane provided in the vicinity of the vehicle; and correct deformation of the captured-image caused by projection of the captured-image onto the virtual projection plane. In a case of presence of a command indicative of enlarging a portion of the captured-image, the image processor corrects the deformation of the captured-image by using a greater correction amount than that used in a case of absence of the input of the command indicative of enlarging the portion of the captured-image. Accordingly, in a case where a portion of an image of a vicinity of a vehicle is enlarged, deterioration of image quality can be suppressed as much as possible.

A parking assist apparatus of an embodiment includes an area detection unit, a line detection unit, and a target position calculation unit. The area detection unit detects a parking allowable area where the parking of a vehicle is allowable. The line detection unit detects a parking section line provided on a track surface. The target position calculation unit calculates a target parking position by using a detection result of the parking allowable area by the area detection unit when the parking allowable area is detected by the area detection unit, the parking section line is detected by the line detection unit, and the parking section line is located outside the parking allowable area.
Image processing device and image processing method
An image processing device is equipped with a marker detector, an oblique line detector, and a parking frame detector. The marker detector extracts, from an image, positive and negative edge segments that are aligned next to each other at a predetermined interval as a pair, and detects a parking space division marker based on the pair. The oblique line detector detects an edge on one side of an edge segment (single-edge segment) that is not extracted as the pair, and detects a presumed straight line based on the single-edge segment connected with an oblique line. The parking frame detector detects neighboring edge segments based on the positive and negative edge segments as well as the single-edge segment of the presumed straight line, and detects a parking space based on a distance between the neighboring edge segments.

A parking assistance system includes: a color/IR detector which detects, from a camera image captured with a camera, marker candidates that are areas in each of which an intensity of a color component or an infrared (IR) component exceeds a threshold; a marker position calculator which calculates positions of the marker candidates in the camera image; and a validity verifier which determines whether the marker candidates are valid as the markers, based on the positions of the marker candidates and a predetermined positional relationship of the markers.
