The invention relates to a method for producing a drive unit device, in particular a fan device, which has at least one first modular unit (12) and at least one second modular unit (16), which concentrically accommodates at least a portion of the first modular unit (12), with the first and second modular units (12, 16) being intended to contribute mechanically to a change in torque, and the first modular unit (12) being secured in the second modular unit (16) in at least one method step (100, 110). To increase safety and reduce process costs, it is proposed that the first modular unit (12) be secured in the second modular unit (16) by means of at least one concentric pressing process step.

The controller is in part received within the control chamber. The controller includes a main electronics board and a modular connector assembly. The modular connector assembly includes a secondary electronics board and a connector at least in part supporting the secondary electronics board. The connector includes an inner connector portion and an outer connector portion. The connector extends through the control housing such that the inner connector portion is disposed inside the control chamber and the outer connector portion is disposed outside the control chamber. The outer connector portion defines a first access portal facilitating access to a first component of the secondary electronics board.

A brushless DC motor (BLDC) includes a stator having a ring-shaped body with multiple stator posts extending axially outward from the ring-shaped body. A plurality of stator windings are each wound about a corresponding one of the stator posts. A rotor support structure is positioned radially inward of the multiple stator posts. A rotor including a shaft is received in the rotor support structure. A first rotor disk is fixed to a first end of the shaft. At least a first set of magnets is disposed about the rotor disk and positioned radially adjacent to the stator posts such that the first set of magnets and the stator windings define a first radial flux flowpath. A second set of magnets positioned relative to the stator posts in one of an axial adjacency or a radial adjacency such that a second flux flowpath is defined.

A modular DC motor includes a stator module having a stator core. The stator core has a ring-shaped base defining an axis and a plurality of stator posts protruding axially outward from the ring shaped based. A plurality of coils are wound around the stator posts. Each stator post extends axially beyond the corresponding coil. A shaft support is radially inward of the stator ring shaped base and is connected to the ring-shaped base. The shaft support is configured to support a rotor shaft relative to the stator core. The stator module is configured to receive one of a plurality of rotor modules. An operation of the modular DC motor is dependent on the physical configuration of the received one of the plurality of rotor modules. Each rotor module in the plurality of rotor modules has a distinct magnetic configuration from each other rotor module in the plurality of rotor modules.

A process for assembling a rotor of a variable-reluctance synchronous motor, characterised in that it comprises the steps of: i. preparing a plurality of discs having a through-cavity for each polar sector for housing at least a magnet; ii. positioning the discs in sequence along an axis of rotation for forming the rotor, so that the through-cavities are aligned to one another; iii. preparing magnets having an identical depth that is smaller than the depth of the rotor, and a frontal section that is identical to or smaller than the area of the cavity; iv. calculating the number of magnets to be inserted, for each polar sector, in a sequence so as to occupy only part of the total depth of the rotor as a function of the performances to be obtained; v. inserting the calculated number of magnets in a series of cavities aligned for each polar sector. The invention also relates to a rotor of a variable-reluctance synchronous motor assembled using the process set out above.

In a first aspect, a method for removing an electromagnetic module from an electrical machine is provided. The electrical machine comprises a plurality of electromagnetic modules having an electromagnetic material. The electromagnetic modules comprise base and a support extending from the base and supporting the electromagnetic material. The base comprises a bottom surface and a first side surface. The first side surface comprises an axially extending groove defining a cooling channel with an axially extending groove of a first side surface of an adjacent electromagnetic module. The method comprises inserting a rod in a cooling channel formed by the groove of the electromagnetic module to be removed and a groove of an adjacent electromagnetic module; releasing the electromagnetic module to be removed from a structure of the electrical machine; and sliding the electromagnetic module to be removed along the rod.
