Shield shell, connector, mating connector, connection structure of connectors, and method for manufacturing connector

The invention provides a shield shell that allows easy insertion of a circuit board or other insulator into the shield shell. A shield shell 300 includes a shell body 310 and first and second position restrictors 320a and 320b. The first position restrictor 320a is provided at an edge portion 315 of an insertion port 310 of the shell body 310 and is located inside the insertion port 315. The second position restrictor 320b is provided in the shell body 310 so as to oppose the first position restrictor 320b with a spacing in a Z-Z′ direction. A distance in the Z-Z′ direction from the first position restrictor 320a to the second position restrictor 320b is substantially equal to, or slightly larger than, a distance in the Z-Z′ direction from a first face 101 to a second face 102 of a circuit board 100. When the circuit board 100 is inserted into the shell body 310 through the insertion port 315, the first position restrictor 320a and the second position restrictor 320b are abuttable on the first face 101 and the second face 102, respectively, of the circuit board 100.

A chassis connector comprises a housing with an insertion opening (2) for a complementary cable connector, a contact carrier inserted in the housing (1) or formed therein, electrical or optical contacts fixed in the contact carrier, and a front plate which is arranged on the front side of the housing and which, together with an annular ridge extending along at least a part of the circumference of the insertion opening, forms the front end and the outer delimitation of the insertion opening. The front plate is made of a light-dispersing or light-conducting material and has at least one coupling surface for light from an external light source.

Wire to board connector with low height

A low profile wire to board connector with features that enable a height of 1 mm or less, yet sufficient robustness to preclude unintentional separation of mated connectors. A board connector, with a mounting interface configured for surface mount soldering to a PCB, may include a recess for receiving a complementary connector terminating multiple wires. The board connector may have blade-shaped terminals, which may be soldered to the PCB at two ends, with an intermediate portion engaging a portion of the board connector housing, so as to secure the housing to the PCB. The complementary connector may be inserted at an acute angle with the mounting interface, engaging a front portion of the mating connector to a front portion of the board connector. The rear of the complementary connector may then be rotated into the recess and secured near the rear.

High-voltage push to mate electrical interconnect

A high-voltage self-aligning push to mate electrical interconnect device is provided. The electrical interconnect device includes a housing with a mating end and a receiving end.
