10499521 · 2019-12-03 · ·

A housing for receiving a circuit board with an overvoltage protection unit and overvoltage protection module. The housing includes a support frame and a film. The support frame is formed of a thermoplastic material and has a main leg, two side legs adjoining the main leg at one end in each case, and at least one lateral flat brace. The film is formed of a thermoplastic material and is formed U-shaped. An end face of the film at least partially covers an end face of the main leg, each side surface of the film at least partially covering the two side legs and the brace. The film is materially connected to the side legs such that the housing made up of the support frame and film is at least partially open on a side opposite the end face of the film.

SURFACE-CONTACT ETHERNET CONNECTOR, NETWORK EQUIPMENT CHASSIS INCLUDING THE SAME AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

A system and method includes stacking a first network node and a second network node on each other, making a surface contact between the network nodes using a first surface connector disposed on an upper surface of a first chassis of the first network node and a second surface connector on a lower surface of the second network node, directly connecting one of the first network node and the second network node to a computer network, and controlling another of the first network node and the second network node to connect the computer network through the surface contact made using the first surface connector and the second surface connector.

Electronic device, expansion card assembly, server device and management method therefor

Disclosed are an electronic device, an expansion card assembly and a server device. The electronic device comprises a hard disk slot and the expansion card assembly. The expansion card assembly is arranged in the hard disk slot in a pluggable manner; the hard disk slot comprises a first type of interface and a second type of interface. The first type of interface is used for communicating with the hard disk, and the second type of interface is used for communicating with the expansion card assembly. Therefore, the expansion card assembly is expanded by means of the hard disk slot in the electronic device, so that the expansion requirement of the expansion card assembly is met.

CHASSIS MONITORING SYSTEM AND CHASSIS MONITORING METHOD

A chassis monitoring system and a chassis monitoring method are provided. The chassis monitoring system includes an electronic device and a chassis including a SAS (serial attached SCSI) expander. The electronic device transmits a SES (SCSI Enclosure Service) command to the SAS expander through a TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) protocol. The SAS expander executes the SES command to monitor the chassis. The SAS expander transmits an execution result of the SES command to the electronic device.

CIRCUIT CARD ASSEMBLIES FOR A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A communication system includes a first circuit card assembly having a first PCB and a first electrical connector with first contacts and a second circuit card assembly having a second PCB and a second electrical connector with second contacts. At least one of the PCBs include a slot configured to receive the other PCB when mated in a board mating direction. The first electrical connector is mated to the second electrical connector in a connector mating direction perpendicular to the board mating direction. The first contacts are mated to the second contacts in a contact mating direction as the first PCB and the second PCB are mated in the board mating direction and as the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector are mated in the connector mating direction. The contact mating direction is non-parallel to the board mating axis and non-parallel to the connector mating axis.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING POSITIONING AND ACCESS FOR DATA PROCESSING SYSTEMS

A data-center drawer may include an outerassembly that is removably attached to a data-center rack and an inner assembly that (1) houses at least one computing component and (2) is configured to extend between (a) a closed position in which the inner assembly is enclosed within the outer assembly and (b) an open position in which the inner assembly is at least partially extended from the outer assembly. The data-center drawer may also include a cable track, positioned within the inner assembly, that houses at least one cable that provides connectivity to the computing component. The cable track may (1) at least partially fold upon itself as the inner assembly moves from the open position to the closed position and (2) at least partially unfold as the inner assembly extends from the closed position to the open position. Corresponding systems and methods of assembly are also disclosed.

Host device and add-on module assembly with a rugged module connection

An assembly including a host device and an add-on module, in which the host device and the add-on module include features to provide a rugged electro-mechanical interface or connection between the host device and the add-on module. The host device includes a body that has an open or non-enclosed docking bay on a side, and the module is placed into the docking bay such that a top side of its body mates with the inner surfaces and features of the docking bay. The interface is rugged so that the assembly is useful in the field, and the interface provides a secure attachment that can withstand dropping. A hook is provided on the top side of the body of the module, and the hook feature's shape, when combined with the location of fasteners on the module body that mate with threaded holes in the docking bay, is designed to withstand dropping.
