COMPOSITE BUILDING MATERIALS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
An example composite building material includes one or more layers of polymeric fibers, binding agent, and optional fillers, and at least one surface layer of resin-impregnated paper disposed above and/or below the one or more layers. The one or more layers can include a core layer with longer polymeric fibers and top and bottom layers with shorter polymeric fibers. A method of manufacturing the composite building material includes forming the one or more layers, applying the at least one surface layer above and/or below the one or more layers, and heating and pressing the combined layers.
Sound attenuating laminate materials
Sound absorbing or attenuating laminate flooring materials are provided, which are directed to be used in the production of floor covering, floor panels, furniture panels, cabinets, counter-tops and wall panels. As well, the methods for producing such products are provided. In particular, abrasion resistant panels, with a laminated structure, created by forming an assembly which consists of laminating a heat-activated resin impregnated paper wear layer, a decorative layer with printed graphics or a wood veneer decorative layer, a medium density (MDF) or high-density (HDF) natural fiber-based core and a resin impregnated paper balancing layer. To achieve sound absorbing and/or attenuating properties, any or all paper layers may be pre coated with an additional flexible elastomeric coating, film or material prior to assembly of the panel, or the natural fiber core panel may be coated with a flexible elastomeric coating, film or material prior to assembly with the papers. The flexible elastomeric coating, film or material acts to absorb, reduce, and/or ameliorate the sound transmissions inherent in laminated panels.
Air and water barrier articles
There are provided rolls comprising an air and water barrier article having opposing first and second major surfaces, a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on at least the first major surface of the article, and a liner having a first major surface that contacts the opposing second major surface of the article, and at least two adhesion modifying zones disposed between the second major surface of the article and the first major surface of the liner, wherein both of a first and second adhesion modifying zones contact the first major surface of the liner, and wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive contacts a second major surface of the liner when wound in the roll. There are also provided films made using these air and water barrier articles and building envelopes made using such films.
Filler disposition film
A filler disposition film that can use a commercially procurable filler material having good particle diameter uniformity, enables high positional precision of the filler disposition, can support even an increase in the surface area, and has a prescribed filler regularly disposed in a long resin film. Moreover, the rate of consistency of disposition of the filler in the filler disposition film in rectangular areas of a prescribed size having a length of 1000 times or more the average particle diameter of the prescribed filler, and a width of 0.2 mm or greater is 90% or greater. Such a rectangular area has a long-side direction that is substantially parallel to the long-side direction of the filler disposition film, and a widthwise direction that is substantially parallel to a short-side direction of the filler disposition film. The average particle diameter of the regularly disposed filler is from 0.4 μm to 100 μm.
Prepreg, fiber-reinforced composite material, and molded article
A prepreg comprising: carbon fibers; and a resin composition containing an epoxy resin having a biphenyl structure, a curing agent, and melamine cyanurate.
DIMMING LAMINATE AND RESIN SPACER FOR DIMMING LAMINATE
Provided is a dimming laminate which can effectively suppress occurrence of color unevenness and light omission. The dimming laminate according to the present invention includes a first transparent base material, a second transparent base material, and a dimming layer disposed between the first transparent base material and the second transparent base material. In this dimming laminate, the dimming layer includes a resin spacer, the resin spacer is a plurality of resin particles, and the resin spacer does not contain resin particles having a particle diameter of 1.4 times or more an average particle diameter of the resin particles or contains 0.0006% or less of the resin particles having a particle diameter of 1.4 times or more the average particle diameter of the resin particles, relative to 100% of the whole number of the resin particles.
NONWOVEN FABRIC LAYERED BODY, COMPOSITE LAYERED BODY, AND COVER SHEET
A nonwoven fabric layered body includes a first nonwoven fabric layer including a crimped fiber (A), which is a fiber made of a thermoplastic polymer and which has an average crimp diameter of 800 μm or less; and a hydrophilic agent.
Particulate foam with partial restriction
An article of footwear includes an upper, an outsole, and a midsole disposed between the upper and the outsole. The outsole is attached to the upper and has a ground-engaging surface. The midsole has a series of walls that define a series of channels extending substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the midsole and along an entire length of the midsole. The series of channels are isolated from one another and each channel receives a quantity of particulate matter therein.
Multilayer PSA foam particles
Unified multilayer articles comprising alternating layers including: a) at least two elastomeric foam interior layers, which are interior layers of the unified multilayer article, and which comprise: i) a first elastomeric material, and distributed therein: ii) expanded polymeric microspheres; where the elastomeric foam interior layers alternate with: b) at least two alternate layers directly bound to adjacent elastomeric foam interior layers; and wherein at least one of the alternate layers is an interior layer of the unified multilayer article.
