VEHICLE SAFETY APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus including a computer processor; a computer memory, which communicates with the computer processor; and a sensor for detecting traffic signs, which communicates with the computer processor; wherein the computer memory includes data regarding a plurality of safety regulations for vehicles; and wherein the computer processor receives signals from the sensor, and determines whether a vehicle is violating one or more the safety regulations for vehicles based on the signals from the sensor and the data for the plurality of safety regulations stored in the computer memory, and provides a warning signal when a safety regulation is violated. The apparatus may further include a speedometer which communicates with the computer processor; wherein the computer processor is programmed by computer software stored in computer memory to receive speeds from the speedometer to determine if one or more of the safety regulations for vehicles have been violated.
Elevated Height Wheelchair
The present disclosure includes methods of operating a wheelchair configured to reposition an occupant between a lowered and a raised position. The wheelchair can include a frame, a seat moveable relative to the frame, a drive wheel, one or more pairs of arm assemblies, and one or more sensors. The arm assembly includes a wheel configured to move from a first spatial location when the wheelchair is operating on flat, level ground to a second spatial location that is different than the first spatial location. Arm limiters can selectively engage the arm assembly based on at least one of a seat position, position of the arm assembly, and surface conditions of ground surface. The arm limiters can limit the range of motion of the arm assembly and sometimes other operational aspects of the chair. The methods adjust the maximum operational speed of the wheelchair when the seat is in an elevated position based on sensor data relating to one or more of the arm limiter position and the position of the frame.
Electronic throttle control
A recreational vehicle includes a seatbelt sensor configured to detect when a seatbelt is in an engaged position or a disengaged position and an engine control module in communication with the seatbelt sensor to automatically limit a maximum speed of the vehicle to a reduced maximum speed limit upon detection of the seatbelt is in the disengaged position.
VEHICLE
A vehicle, in particular a single-track vehicle, has a small track width in relation to the vehicle height, and three or four wheels. In order to provide a vehicle which allows for a high traffic flow speed at a high traffic density, the vehicle has automatically controlled tilt kinematics, in which the vehicle body and the wheels tilt about a longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
Apparatus and method for automatically setting speed of vehicle
An apparatus for automatically setting a speed of a vehicle may include a path guide device configured to obtain information related to a location of the vehicle, a type of a road corresponding to the location, and a speed limit of the road corresponding to the location and a controller configured to be electronically connected to the path guide device, wherein the controller is configured to activate an automatic setting mode for setting a setting speed for autonomous driving of the vehicle to a speed limit of a road corresponding to a current location of the vehicle, when the vehicle enters another type of road from the specified type of road in a state where the automatic setting mode is activated, release the automatic setting mode, and activate the automatic setting mode.
HAULAGE VEHICLE
A haulage vehicle includes a body, a load measurement device that measures a mounted load value of the body, a traveling electric motor, and a travel control device that outputs an electric motor command value, the travel control device sets a backward movement limiting set value to ON when it is determined that the haulage vehicle is in execution of either loading work or dumping work, and sets the backward movement limiting set value to OFF when a forward position signal and an accelerator pedal command value are inputted, an electric motor command value formed of a backward movement limiting command value is outputted to the traveling electric motor when the backward movement limiting set value is ON, and an electric motor command value formed of a normal command value is outputted to the traveling electric motor when the backward movement limiting set value is OFF.
Cruise control interlock system
A cruise control interlock system detects a current set of conditions for a vehicle, compares the current conditions with cruise control interlock conditions (e.g., an adjustable threshold state of a windshield wiper system), and executes a process to deactivate the cruise control system. The process to deactivate functionality of the cruise control system may include presenting a notification to the operator to alert the operator to an upcoming automatic deactivation or to encourage the operator to deactivate cruise control. The process also may include a vehicle de-rate process (e.g., reducing vehicle speed) to induce the operator to deactivate cruise control. Deactivation of cruise control may be postponed in some situations, such as when the vehicle is ascending an uphill grade or where doing so may deactivate an active downhill speed control function.
VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD AND VEHICLE, NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM AND CHIP
A vehicle control method, vehicle and non-transitory computer readable storage medium that enables a current transmission ratio of a vehicle to be decreased prior to a driver turning a steering wheel so that a larger steering angle of a wheel can be obtained when the driver turns the steering wheel at a smaller angle in emergency driving situations.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING CRUISE DRIVING OF VEHICLE
A method for controlling cruise driving of a vehicle performed by a controller is provided. The method includes determining whether a turning section is present on a road in front of the vehicle based on information of the road included in navigation information. When the turning section is present on the road, the turning section is divided into an entry area and an escape area. The entry area is an area where speed of the vehicle is adjusted from cruise driving speed to target deceleration speed and the escape area is an area where speed of the vehicle is controlled from the target deceleration speed to the cruise driving speed. When the vehicle is located in the entry area a starter-generator connected to an engine is operated to perform regenerative braking to reduce the speed of the vehicle from the cruise driving speed to the target deceleration speed.
Elevated height wheelchair
Embodiments of the present disclosure include a wheelchair configured to reposition an occupant between a lowered and a raised position. The wheelchair can include a frame, a seat moveable relative to the frame, a drive wheel, and one or more pairs of arm assemblies. The arm assembly includes a wheel configured to move from a first spatial location when the wheel chair is operating on flat, level ground to a second spatial location that is different than the first spatial location. Arm limiters can selectively engage the arm assembly based on at least one of a seat position, position of the arm assembly and surface conditions of ground surface. The arm limiters can limit the range of motion of the arm assembly and sometimes other operational aspects of the chair.
