SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VEHICLE HILL CONTROL
Methods and systems are provided for a vehicle hill control. An example of a method may include during a vehicle stopped condition, operating with a clutch of a transmission engaged to mechanically lock the transmission, the transmission having a plurality of power inputs including receiving input from an electric machine and a prime mover; releasing at least one of the clutch or a service brake, and while releasing, concurrently adjusting an output magnitude of the electric machine responsive to speed control to control to a zero vehicle speed. In some examples, the method may further include learning a torque output of the electric machine required to maintain the zero vehicle speed upon fully releasing the clutch or service brake. In an example, the method may include estimating a road grade based on the learned torque output.

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle control system includes: multiple control units which controls operation of a vehicle including an internal combustion engine, a first electric motor connected to the internal combustion engine, and a second electric motor; and a network connected to the control units such that the control units perform communi cati on with each other. The control units include a first control unit which controls the internal combustion engine, a second control unit which controls the first motor, and a third control unit which controls the second motor, and each detect abnormality in communication via the network among the control units. Upon detection of abnormality in communication between the second control unit and the other control units via the network, the first control unit stops operation of the internal combustion engine, and the third control unit performs control such that the second motor outputs power for the vehicle to travel.
HYBRID VEHICLE
A hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a first motor, a planetary gear mechanism, a second motor, a battery, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to: set a shift stage based on a depression amount of an accelerator and a vehicle speed or a driver's operation; set a base driving force based on the degree of the depression amount of the accelerator, the vehicle speed, and a target rotation speed; set a correction driving force such that the correction driving force increases with an increase in elapsed time after upshifting or an increase in the vehicle speed after upshifting when the shift stage upshifts; and control the engine, the first motor, and the second motor such that a driving force obtained by correcting the base driving force using the correction driving force is output to the drive shaft.

An apparatus for calculating torque of a vehicle for exiting drift driving may include a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program which, when executed by the processor, causes: determining a driver's intention to exit drift driving based on an opening degree of an accelerator pedal and a steering angle; and calculating target torque of a front wheel motor based on the opening degree of the accelerator pedal when the driver's intention to exit drift driving is determined.
TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY WITH ELECTRICAL MACHINE UNIT FOR IMPROVED SHIFT QUALITY
A transmission assembly for a work vehicle having an engine includes a variator operably connected to the engine, a gear arrangement configured to provide a selective gear reduction for transmission of output power from the variator to an output shaft, and an electrical machine unit. The electrical machine unit further includes a main shaft operably connected to the variator, a first rotor configured to rotatably drive a first shaft, a second rotor configured to rotatably drive a second shaft, and a clutch configured to selectively couple the first shaft or the second shaft, or both the first shaft and the second shaft, to the main shaft. The clutch, the first rotor, and the second rotor are operable to control a speed and rotational direction of the main shaft in providing rotational power to the variator.
Driving force control method and device for hybrid vehicle
Provided are a driving force control method and device for a hybrid vehicle, each capable of effectively absorbing torque fluctuation of an engine while suppressing deterioration in energy efficiency. The driving force control device for a hybrid vehicle comprises a PCM configured to: identify a vehicle acceleration; estimate an average torque output by an engine; estimate a torque fluctuation component of the torque output by the engine; set a countertorque for suppressing the estimated torque fluctuation component; and control an electric motor to output the set countertorque, wherein the PCM is operable, under a condition that an engine speed and the average torque output by the engine are constant, to set the countertorque such that, as the absolute value of the vehicle acceleration becomes smaller, the absolute value of the countertorque becomes larger.
Reconfigurable system with minimum mobility mode
A method includes detecting a fault of a component of a vehicle. The method also includes providing a plurality of modes of operation for the vehicle including an engine only mode, an electric only mode, a hybrid mode, a partial engine only mode, a partial electric only mode and a partial hybrid mode. At least two of the plurality of modes of operation that avoid use of the faulty component are displayed on a display screen, and a selection of one of the at least two of the plurality of modes of operation that are displayed on the display screen is received. The method includes activating at least one electric, mechanical or software isolator to isolate or disengage at least one component associated with electric propulsion of the vehicle or at least one component associated with combustion engine propulsion of the vehicle that includes the faulty component.
HYBRID VEHICLE
When a kickdown switch is turned off, a target rotation speed of an engine is set on the basis of a vehicle speed and a gear and the engine, the first motor, and the second motor are controlled such that the smaller driving force of an upper-limit driving force based on the target rotation speed and a required driving force is output to a drive shaft and the engine rotates at the target rotation speed. On the other hand, when the kickdown switch is turned on, the target rotation speed is set to be higher than that when the kickdown switch is turned off on the basis of the vehicle speed and the gear and the engine, the first motor, and the second motor are controlled such that the required driving force is output to the drive shaft and the engine rotates at the target rotation speed.
HYBRID VEHICLE
A drivability target engine speed is set based on a shift stage based on an accelerator opening level and a vehicle speed and the vehicle speed, and a base driving force is set based on an accelerator required driving force and the drivability target engine speed. When an elapsed time after an accelerator depression amount increases is less than a threshold value, a correction driving force is set based on an increase in accelerator depression amount and an engine, a first motor, and a second motor are controlled such that an effective driving force obtained by adding the correction driving force to the base driving force is output to a drive shaft for a hybrid vehicle to travel.
