RESIN SHEET, LAMINATE, FORMED BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FORMED BODY
A resin sheet comprising polypropylene and one or more selected from the group consisting of a crystal nucleating agent and a petroleum resin, wherein the resin sheet has a crystallization speed at 130 C. of 2.5 min.sup.1 or less and an isotactic pentad fraction of 95 mol % or more and 99 mol % or less.
Nonwovens having aligned segmented fibers
Nonwoven fabrics suitable for a wide variety of applications (e.g., healthcare, filtration, industrial, packaging, etc.) are provided. In one aspect, the nonwoven fabric includes a plurality of segmented fibers. Each of the plurality of segmented fibers may comprise a fiber axis and a plurality of alternating larger diameter and smaller diameter segments along the fiber axis. The plurality of segmented fibers may be substantially aligned in a first direction.
Method of forming an article
Methods of forming an article from a molten plastic composition comprising a polymer and a blowing agent. The methods include injecting the molten plastic composition into a mould, allowing the plastic composition to form a first solid skin adjacent to an in contact with a first cavity-forming surface of the mould and a second solid skin adjacent to and in contact with a second cavity-forming surface of the mould, and then opening the mould before the molten plastic composition between the first and second solid skins in at least one portion of the circumference of a region of the mould cavity defining an annular cross-section of the cavity has solidified.
Foam mix-head bushing and method of manufacturing a vehicle interior panel with the bushing
A bushing for a foam mix-head includes an injection port wall surrounding a vestigial area for foam accumulation, a substrate opening transition segment configured to be situated with an opening of a substrate, a seal housing, and a seal seated in a seal seat of the seal housing. The seal helps prevent leakage during a foaming operation, such as when manufacturing a vehicle interior panel having a foam layer between a skin layer and a substrate.
Method for connecting components, one of which is made of a fiber-reinforced plastic
A method and a connecting element for joining two components, at least one of which is made of a fiber-reinforced composite, are proposed.
Liquid blow molding apparatus
A liquid blow molding device for liquid blow molding a resin preform into a container having a predetermined shape. The liquid blow molding device includes a mold in which the preform is disposed; a stretch rod that axially stretches the preform disposed in the mold (; and a pressurized liquid supply that supplies a pressurized liquid to the preform. The liquid blow molding device operates such that the amount of the liquid supplied from the pressurized liquid supply to the inside of the preform before completing the stretching of the preform by the stretch rod (22) is 50% or less of the amount of the liquid to be filled in the container after the completion of the liquid blow molding.
Method for producing components for motor-vehicle structures, having a hybrid structure made of light alloy and plastic material
A component of a vehicle structure is obtained by a hot forming operation on a hybrid panel having a sheet element of light alloy and a sheet of plastic material. The hybrid panel is hot formed by pressing it against a forming surface of a mould element by a pressurized gas or by a second mould element. Following this operation, the hybrid panel assumes a configuration corresponding to the forming surface, whereas the light alloy sheet element and the plastic material sheet constituting the hybrid panel adhere to each other following softening by heat of the plastic material. Before the hot forming step, a surface of said light alloy sheet element which must contact the plastic material sheet is subjected to a roughening treatment, thereby defining surface asperities between which the plastic material of the plastic material sheet is inserted when it is softened by heat.
CONTAINER WITH REINFORCED BOTTOM
A container is provided. The container includes multiple sidewalls extending in a substantially vertical direction and a bottom wall. The bottom wall includes a central portion, a first curved portion and a second curved portion. The first curved portion includes a first radius of curvature with a first center of curvature located on a first side of the bottom wall of the container, while the second curved portion terminates at the sidewalls and include a second radius of curvature with a second center of curvature located on a second side of the bottom wall of the container. The container further includes multiple reinforcing ribs located on the second side, each of the reinforcing ribs having a minimum height proximate the first curved portion and a maximum height proximate the second curved portion.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A PROFILED ELEMENT
A profile element is useful for sealing building-structure joints, especially for sealing against sound and smoke and optionally against fire. An apparatus is useful for manufacturing such profile element and to the use of the profile element manufactured according to the invention for the acoustic, smokeproof and/or fireproof sealing of connecting joints in drywalls, especially of expansion joints.
METHOD OF FORMING A PACKAGE
A method of forming a package is provided and includes providing two laminate edge portions of the package, each of which includes a foil layer between first and second resin layers; and welding together the respective first resin layers at a first position spaced apart from the edges while not welding the respective first resin layers at the edges, wherein the edge portions include edges from which electrode terminals extend such that portions of the electrode terminals are exposed beyond the edges, and wherein the edge portions are between a sealing portion and exposed portions of positive and negative electrode terminals.
