A sensor unit includes an edge detection sensor, a sensor carriage, a unit housing, and a carriage moving mechanism. The edge detection sensor is arranged in a conveying portion for conveying a sheet and senses edge positions at both sides in a sheet width direction perpendicular to a sheet conveying direction. The sensor carriage has a carriage main body in which the edge detection sensor is incorporated, and is reciprocatably supported on the unit housing in the sheet width direction. The carriage moving mechanism makes the sensor carriage reciprocate in the sheet width direction. The sensor carriage is selectively positioned at a first position where it makes contact with a first side face at one end side of the unit housing in the sheet width direction or a second position where it makes contact with a second side face at the other end side in the sheet width direction.

The transport path of the note of value extends between the transport element and the counter-pressure element. The counter-pressure element is ball-shaped and is mounted so as to be freely rotatable. Further, the apparatus includes a second drive unit for displacing the transport element along its axis of rotation so that a note of value arranged between the transport element and the counter-pressure element is moved transversely to the transport direction during displacement of the transport element.

An image forming apparatus includes a housing in which an image forming section is contained and a paper output section into which a sheet of paper on which an image has been formed is ejected. The paper output section includes a paper output tray that supports the front side or back side of the sheet of paper, a back-end supporting member that supports a back end of the sheet of paper in a paper ejection direction, and a paper takeout slot through which the sheet of paper is taken out. The paper output section is provided at the outer edge of the interior of the housing. The housing has an external wall whose inner face side is used as the paper output tray. The paper takeout slot opens upward.

A pusher plate stacking bin apparatus is provided for a valuable media depository. The apparatus comprising a pusher plate driven by a rack and pinion apparatus to stack a media item that is in a final position within the apparatus onto a media stacking platform. The media item is urged into the final position such that a trailing edge of the media item overhangs and rests on a fixed media guide and such that a leading edge of the media item overhangs and rests on a hinged media guide with a bottom surface of the media item elevated above the media stacking platform. The rack and pinion apparatus drives the plate past the media guides causing the hinged media guide to drop and the media item to fold along the leading edge as the media item is stacked onto the platform.

The first pallet location positions a pallet to receive output from a print press. The second pallet location is a pre-use pallet holding location. The apparatus further comprises an actuator to move the first and second pallet supports to transfer a first pallet away from the first pallet location and a second pallet from the second pallet holding location to the first pallet location. A method of transferring pallets is also disclosed.

The accommodating member is wound around the rotating shaft and accommodated inside the housing when the operating portion is mounted on the housing. The accommodating member is fed from the rotating shaft so that the medium is accommodated when the operating portion is separated from the housing.

Disclosed herein is a dispenser for adhesive fabrics or tapes, such as bandages or other adhesive medical fabrics or correction tapes. The dispenser has a case in which a supply reel and a take-up reel are mounted. A belt having adhesive fabrics or tapes thereon extends from the supply reel through one or more openings to the exterior of the case, and thence to a take-up reel. The supply reel and the take-up reel are coupled so that the belt is wrapped around the take-up reel as it is unwound from the supply reel and advances to move an adhesive fabric or tape to the exterior of the case for dispensing. The dispenser may optionally have an activation device that allows a user to extend a portion of an adhesive fabric outside the dispenser and dispense and apply the adhesive fabric to a human skin with one hand.
