A recording device includes a recoding unit, a discharge rollerunit, a medium receiving tray, a motor serving as a power source of the discharge roller, a power transmission unitunit that is configured to switch between a power transmission state in which power of the motor is transmitted from the motor to the medium receiving tray, and a power non-transmission state in which the power of the motor is not transmitted from the motor to the medium receiving tray, and a restriction unitunit that is configured to switch between a restriction state in which the restriction unit restricts displacement of the medium receiving tray when the power transmission unit is in the power non-transmission state, and a non-restriction state in which the the restriction unit does not restrict the displacement of the medium receiving tray when the power transmission unit is in the power transmission state.

Sheet supplying apparatus, image forming apparatus

It is an object of the present invention to provide method for receiving sheets for a sheet supplying apparatus. The method includes converting an up and down motion of a tray to a rotational motion of a rotary member by a movement conversion mechanism, converting the rotational motion of the rotary member around a rotational axis to a linear motion of a cylindrical member parallel to the rotational axis by the rotary member and a cam and slider mechanism, and elastically pressing an end portion of the cylindrical member of the cam and slider mechanism in the rotational axis direction to lift the tray by a compression spring.

OUTPUT ASSEMBLIES FOR PRINTERS

Example output assemblies for a printer device and printer devices incorporating the output assemblies are disclosed. In one example, the output assembly includes a support surface to support print media that is dispensed from the printer device along a feed direction. In addition, the output assembly includes a side surface that is coupled to the printer device and disposed above the support surface. The side surface is to transition between a first position and a second position. When the side surface is in the second position, the side surface is extended away from the printer device in the feed direction from the from the first position.

To provide an image forming apparatus having a sheet processing apparatus installed in an in-body space, capable of discharging sheets of different sizes without interfering with discharge operation of the sheet processing apparatus in a compact configuration. An image forming apparatus has a sheet binding unit disposed in an in-body space part thereof, a first conveying path for conveying the sheet discharged to the in-body space part toward the sheet binding unit, and a second conveying path for conveying the sheet discharged to the in-body space part toward a second stack tray that stacks thereon the sheet vertically below a first stack tray disposed outside the in-body space part. The second conveying path extends, inside the in-body space part, substantially horizontally between an image forming part and the sheet binding unit.

SHEET SEPARATION DEVICE, LAMINATOR, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

A sheet separation device separates a non-bonding portion of a two-ply sheet in which two sheets are overlapped and bonded together at one end of the two-ply sheet. The sheet separation device includes a separator that includes a first separator and a second separator. The first separator is inserted into a gap between the two sheets of the two-ply sheet. The second separator is inserted between the two sheets at said another end of the two-ply sheet that is opposite to the one end of the two-ply sheet and moves in a width direction of the two-ply sheet after the first separator is inserted into the gap and relatively moves from the one end to said another end.
