The machine tool includes: a spindle 110 for holding one end side of a workpiece W; an opposed chuck 131 that is opposed to the spindle 110 and is movable with holding another end side of the workpiece W; and a spindle moving motor 122 for moving the spindle 110. The machine tool or the controller is provided with a load detector 172 for detecting a load of the spindle moving motor 122, and workpiece separation detector 173 for detecting a defect in a cutting-off process from the load in performing a taking out operation.
System of indirect estimation of the condition of wear of a cutting tool
A method and a system for estimating state of wear of a cutting tool mounted on a machine tool. The system includes an acquisition module configured to acquire at least one operating signal specific to the cutting tool during at least one interaction of introduction or of extraction between the cutting tool and the material to be machined, and a microprocessor configured to generate from the at least one operating signal a wear signature of the cutting tool and to determine the state of wear of the cutting tool as a function of the signature.
System and method for acceleration adjustment of machine tool at rapid traverse
A system for acceleration adjustment of machine tool at rapid traverse includes a signal measurement module, a signal judgment module and an acceleration optimization module. The machine tool has a servo motor and a working platform. The signal measurement module measures signals while the servo motor drives the working platform from a first specific position to a second specific position, or from the second specific position back to the first specific position. The signal judgment module judges whether the actual maximum current value of the motor is equal to the manufacturer's specification according to the signals; and if negative, the acceleration optimization module calculates and optimizes an axial acceleration till an optimal value is achieved. Then, a curve smoothing time of the optimal acceleration is calculated and optimized by the acceleration optimization module. In addition, a method for acceleration adjustment of machine tool at rapid traverse is provided.

The measurement data includes a load-dependent or load-independent current component. The cutting characteristic value includes a soiling, wear, or knife sharpness characteristic value, the soiling and wear characteristic values being derived from the load-independent current component, and the knife sharpness characteristic value being derived from the load-dependent current component.
MOTOR TIMEOUT IN POWER TOOL
The present invention relates to a motor timeout of a power tool. When a trigger of the tool is unintentionally actuated, power is provided to a motor of the tool to cause an output assembly of the tool to operate. This can be problematic when the tool is being stored. To address this situation, the tool initiates or starts a motor timer when the motor is running at any nonzero speed. If the trigger remains continuously actuated, with the motor running at any nonzero speed, and the motor timer reaches a threshold limit, the tool ceases or discontinues to allow power to be provided to the motor, thereby shutting off the motor. This reduces the power source from being unintentionally discharged, and the chance of the tool creating a situation where the output assembly can unintentionally cause damage to the storage mechanism or other surroundings.
