Positive pressure vent for a vehicle
According to the invention, there is provided a positive pressure vent for a vehicle. The vent includes an inlet chamber having an air intake port facing into an air stream generated by motion of the vehicle so as to collect air and form a positive pressure inside the inlet chamber. There is further provided a filter adapted to filter air from the inlet chamber of particulate matter. A filtered air path is further provided for allowing filtered air from the filter to travel to the interior of the vehicle under the urging of the positive pressure from the inlet chamber.
ULTRA-VIOLET LIGHT SANITIZING OF A VEHICLE
A system that can selectively activate or deactivate one or more ultra-violet light sources to sanitize a portion of a vehicle. The system can include a vehicle that has a vehicle door. The system can include one or more sensors that can be configured to detect whether the vehicle door is open or closed. In response to detecting that the vehicle door is open, the system can cause the one or more ultra-violet light sources to be activated, whereby ultra-violet light is emitted by the one or more ultra-violet light sources with respect to at least a portion of the vehicle. In some instances, the ultra-violet light can be emitted across the door frame of an open door. In some instances, the ultra-violet light can be emitted within at least a portion of the vehicle cabin.
Smart air filter and systems and methods for predicting failure of an air filter
Systems and methods are provided for predicting failure of an air filter within an HVAC installation. Also provided are methods for calibrating the systems described. The system provided typically includes air filters and vents, and a processor at an application server configured to implement methods described. Each vent may include various sensors, such as a temperature sensor or a sensor for evaluating indoor air quality. The method may receive information about a total volume of air pumped by an HVAC system over time, determine the volumetric quantity of air passing through a particular filter, and compare that quantity of air to a threshold amount representing the lifetime, or some percentage of the lifetime of the filter. Where the system includes multiple vents and multiple filters, the system may implement a model for calculating the volumetric quantity of air associated with each individual filter.
AIR TREATMENT SYSTEM, AND RELATED VEHICLES AND METHODS
An air treatment system for an agricultural vehicle includes an air filtration apparatus having an air filter housing for receiving an air filter cartridge and downstream air processing apparatus fluidly connected with the air filter housing by a duct. The system can receive first and second type air filter cartridges having corresponding first and second outlet sealing configurations. The duct has inner and outer conduits that define an inner flow path and an outer flow path. A filter sealing arrangement of the duct can engage with either type of filter cartridge. This enables two different types of filter cartridge, which may be configured to provide different levels of filtration, to be selectively mounted to the system in the same housing. Air flow may be restricted to the inner flow path when one type of air filter cartridge is fitted.
HOUSING FOR A HEATING, AIR-CONDITIONING AND/OR VENTILATION DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a housing (1) for a heating, air-conditioning and/or ventilation device for a motor vehicle, configured to receive an air filter (3), said air filter (3) comprising a first filtering medium (30) which is delimited by at least two primary frame strips (300) and a second filtering medium (31) which is delimited by at least two secondary frame strips (310), according to which said housing (1) comprises at least one maintenance device (100) which is configured to retain one of said primary frame strips (300) when said first filtering medium (10) is mounted in said housing (1).
Cabin air filter tray
A tray for holding a cabin air filter that filters airflow entering a vehicle passenger cabin. The tray includes a frame configured to hold the cabin air filter. A retention member includes a first end attached to the frame and a second end configured to be anchored at a mounting location in a vehicle. When the frame is moved away from the mounting location, the retention member is tensioned to (i) guide and pull the flexible frame towards the mounting location and/or (ii) hold the flexible frame at the mounting location.
HOUSING FOR A HEATING, VENTILATION AND/OR AIR CONDITIONING DEVICE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning device (10) for a motor vehicle, comprising a housing (12) defining an air duct (11) for the passage of an airflow comprising—an inlet module (8), comprising at least one air inlet (15, 16), an air filter (70) being arranged within the inlet module (8), and—a distribution module (9) comprising at least one air outlet (27, 29, 30), the inlet module (8) and the distribution module (9) being detachably assembled to one another; according to the invention, the inlet module (8) is configured to be arranged in a first area of the vehicle, and the distribution module (9) is configured to be arranged in a second area of the vehicle, the air filter (70) being able to be removed from the second area of the vehicle. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising such a device.
Vehicle Air-Conditioning Apparatus
A vehicle air-conditioning apparatus includes a filter case configured to accommodate a filter, and a filter cover configured to couple to an open upper end of the filter case. The filter case defines an inner space configured to accommodate the filter therein and having the open upper end to receive and discharge the filter therethrough. The inner space is inclined with respect to a vertical direction to allow the filter to be received into and discharged from the filter case in an inclined state. The filter cover includes a fixing protrusion protruding from a lower surface of the filter cover facing the inner space of the filter case and being configured to press and fix the filter in the inner space.
VEHICLE CABIN AIR FILTER MONITORING SYSTEM
A cabin air quality monitoring system including a communications interface configured to receive snapshot information representing in-cabin air quality of a vehicle, a memory configured to store the snapshot information received by the communications interface and a processing circuitry configured to batch the snapshot information stored to the memory to form batched snapshot information, to execute, using the batched snapshot information as an input, a trained machine learning model to obtain a model output that includes cabin air filter replacement information, and to transmit, via the communications interface, the model output to computing hardware of the vehicle.
Connection arrangement for fixing a lid of an air filter device of a motor vehicle to a filter housing and to a filter element and an associated filter element
A connection arrangement for fixing a lid to a filter housing and to a filter element, by which an insertion opening in the filter housing can be closed, includes a holding element on the filter element and a locking element on the lid. The holding element can be fixed by a contact surface for contacting the locking element in a recess of the filter housing. The holding element has a latching geometry with which it can be latched in the recess of the filter housing. The locking element is a shaft with a bolt rod and a handle part. The shaft is guided through the lid such that the lid and the filter element in the latching position can, by the bolt rod and a contact surface formed as a ramp on the holding element, which engage with one another by turning the locking element, be spanned against each other.
